Georgia getting his cousin pretty much sealed the deal for them. Plus, somehow, supposedly, more of his family members are getting scholarships or something like it to UGA.

This is one that I feel like we'd have landed if we had a good year. There will be several like that I think.

It definitely would not have hurt. I think he was trending to UGA early in the year and the way we finished may have helped to seal the deal.

Yeah cause GA finished so strong. I thought this time last year it was a sure thing that he was coming here but since the spring it has felt like a GA thing to me. No one in th e SEC finished strong other than bama & I don't think that makes that much of a difference to most recruits.

If winning doesnt mean that much to recruits, then why do the teams who win the most get the best players? How many 5* blue chips does Vandy get? Winning matters a lot to recruits.

Winning means a lot to everyone, I just don't believe its the deciding factor. Especially this recruit. GAs late season collapse was worse than ours & we beat them head to head. Yet he still chose them over us.

Oh sorry I didn't take the time to watch film and discuss recruits' potential. That seems like a fun way to spend my time though I'll definitely start.

You could go hang out in the FF. They don't like logic over there either. This is the RF. We discuss the potential of recruits.... in this forum. RF. Where we discuss recruits and their potential.



And if you're TonyB you bump every recruit thread ever made every time the kid coughs.

Yes and no. Agree that Smart didn't exactly look like Knute Rockne. I'm encouraged with what appeared to be a fair amount of incompetence on Kirby's part.

But in his first year, he only lost to Jones in his 4th year, because Jones' senior qb got the last opportunity to win the game, after Smart's freshman qb seemingly wrapped up the W with a great play.
