It ain’t happening. No one is giving a transfer 1 year RB a million plus.

Is the money in a NIL guaranteed or does an injury/missed games take away from the money? Curious how that works because paying a RB that much money with a chance of injury (I think more so than any other position) or limited games appears to be absurd. I could be completely wrong and if I am, please disregard this question/statement.

RB is most expendable position in football anymore.

I don’t agree, I think it’s vastly under valued. Almost every top team has a powerful running back. Even in the pros the running game is important. And a Henry type is invaluable, bama has a big strong running back every year. Georgia has strong fast running backs. If your gonna compete for championships you better have at least a few good running backs. Sure the game is more passing now but you can’t be weak in any skill position spots or the fast defenses will make you one dimensional. Some folks act like you can throw any back out there and they are so wrong. GBO!

I agree. NFL teams are going to bear the brunt of this. They’ll sign kids who do not know how to handle adversity.

We have landed several blue chip recruits in the past and the results on the field weren’t very good. It’s time we try actual coaches who can coach but maybe aren’t super elite recruiters. We have gone the elite recruiters route who can’t develop talent

Look to the NFL here. While I’d love Tank, RBs are a dime a dozen.

I don't think the NFL thought process applies here, you don't really have to worry about "shelf life" with young college rbs and there's definitely a difference between elite rbs and average/good rbs. I love Small but he's no Tank, at all.

Since 2000, we are in the Top 10-11 programs in the country when it comes to signing 5 star products with around 26 or so, which is more than Auburn.

Problem is that more than half of our 5 stars sucked, never lived up to the hype, or just got kicked off the team.

I do think RBs are underrated. Would see a huge difference of having an elite back. Just imagine Kamara in this offense as the featured back.
