yeah lets ***** and moan endlessly
It's not the fans fault Butch and his staff couldn't find a way to beat a bad UF team, again. Or were in a dogfight until the end with UMASS.
Nobody forced bignewt to log on to VN and read what a 5 year could predict would be doom and gloom after what we watched Saturday.
I hate all the whining too, but I can't say it isn't justified. Perhaps the number of threads created to do/say the same thing is ridiculous, but to get on here after hanging on to stop a winless UMASS team on a potentially game-winning drive isn't cause for celebration, nor is it immune from criticism.
I guess my point is that if you came to VN expecting anything less than what you got, you fooled yourself.
Nope, just pointing out your hypocrisy. And I'm not the one complaining about it.
Ok dude.
so you didnt just complain about my posts? And where did I ever say I bring all this "relevant info" to the board?
I am doing the same as you, pointing out the repetitive negativity from the battered vol syndrome hordes.
I go after bass, you go after me. round and round we go.
It's going to be like that regardless if we keep sucking
Exactly. That's why the majority of people on here said in the pre-season a 7-5 / 6-6 type season would be a disaster for recruiting both in this class and looking ahead to the '19 class (assuming Butch is retained at either record). It has nothing to do with the fans, but with the program once again underachieving and being unable to make a move up the ladder when it's right there for the taking.
If the record is 7-5/6-6 we get a new coach that should help recruiting right?
Depends on the timing and coach really.
I doubt our class would end as strong as it is at the moment with a coaching change, but it could end better than if we retained Butch after a 7-5 season potentially.
We'll need to see how the next two games play out before we can make too many predictions though.
Ha you better stay clear of the football talk thread then coach predictions are falling like snowflakes in a Buffalo December.
If the record is 7-5/6-6 we get a new coach that should help recruiting right?
I enjoy the speculation as much as anybody.
But it is still a little early to expect a change. If we lose the next two games, then I think it would be safe to go all in on the coaching change chatter.
If we go 1-1, then we're still on or for 8-4. If we go 2-0, then everybody here who's speculated on coaches looks pretty dumb lol
Agreed. I'd know I'm contradicting what I said before, but I'd rather cut bait right now. It's not just the record. It's our style of play after year 5 roster mismanagement soft defense no identity on offense it's pathetic.........not just about wins. I can handle a loss if we just get beat by a more talented school but what's going on now is unacceptable. You have to stop it before we regress further than we have come forward. We still have good name out there right now I don't know how far in ditch I would go with this and then look for an elite coach to want to take over...Just my opinion
