Not sure he'll stay in the Midwest, went to HS in Georgia and Alabama....we got one of his last visits before he picked Cinci. I'd for sure go after him and he tweeted he wanted money, don't know if Wisconsin has the sort of NIL deal to be as attractive as ours.

Was not heavily pursued by SEC schools and didn't get much PT at Cincy... We need all the help we can get, but this doesn't seem like an obvious upgrade over returning starters. Not saying he isn't better... just saying it's not obvious to me if he is.

He was a freshman playing for a staff known for developing DBs

We desperately need him. We have a good bit of history with him given we were his first offer and his camp with us put him on the map. He obviously is a major need. Good sized CB with excellent speed that would fit well into our system.

Will he come here? He'll either follow the Cinci staff to Wiscy or go to Bama/UGA is my guess.

He was heavily recruited by Georgia.

He was behind a Senior but still played in 6 games this year.

Wait a minute I am confused. So all I have been hearing on this board is we have pretty much the least talented secondary there is. And here is a guy that seeing fly has the intangibles to be a good DB. Yet he may not be an upgrade?

So do we have talent at DB or not?

What is funny is he would be our highest rated CB outside of Matthews (Freshman) and Dee Williams by a LOT.

Why can't both be true?

We don't have enough talent at DB. Also, I don't see any reason to assume JQ Hardaway is an upgrade.

Most of the time when an Alabama player is good he gets recruited by Alabama & Auburn. Unless I'm missing something, he didn't receive offers from the in-state schools or UGA, LSU, etc and we were the only SEC school he visited. Additionally, most of the time when a player is good he gets playing time.

Maybe he's a legit SEC cornerback who wasn't good enough to play at Cincy, but I doubt it.
