From Rivals:

Georgia is now emerging as another main contender for Gilbert after his weekend visit to Athens. The four-star athlete from Atlanta (Ga.) Douglass who’s expected to play defensive back in college felt wanted and loved at Georgia and his talk with coach Kirby Smart about life after football really stood out. The Bulldogs are definitely moving up as Clemson and South Carolina have been highest on his list as well.

Staying at defensive back, Jontae Gilbert will be in town later today. The Vols have been a factor for him for months, and last summer, at one point, he told us he was ready to flip his commitment from Ohio State to Tennessee. However, he put that on hold and de-committed from the Buckeyes instead, as he felt a strong push from several schools at the time. Still, the Vols remain very much in play right now. He tells us he will be joined by his family during this visit, and he plans to return to Knoxville over the summer for an official visit. South Carolina, Clemson, and numerous others continue to swing hard in this one.

spoke to Jontae Gilbert…

He spent a bunch of time with Banks and Martinez. He called it one of the best visits he’s been on because he was able to just talk ball and relax with the coaches. He said that Tennessee will get an official visit the second weekend of June and his top three are South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee.
