'20 GA CB Kamar Wilcoxson (Florida commit x3)

To have them growing on trees in Florida Mullen seems to have a hard time harvesting them. Have you looked at the top 10-15 in state recruits for Florida this year? Lol I know you have, don’t answer. It’s embarrassing.
With Norvell at FSU it’s going to get worse for Florida in a year or two.

I don't think Reggie Nelson is the NFL leader in career int's though. He had 38 which is good but not the most by far.

Sorry, good catch, I should have been more clear. I meant active leader. I know his last year or two in Oakland he was the active NFL leader in Int’s.

But I’ve researched and it looks like he’s not even active anymore, although he hasn’t officially retired. He played 12 full years and had an outstanding career.

I’m not following you. Are you saying Mullen and his staff aren’t recruiting and developing DB’s?

If that’s what you’re saying, I disagree. He’s signed/committed 16 DB’s in 3 classes, many of them very highly-rated, several of them already contributing or starting (Kaiir Elam, Hill and Kimbrough). Mullen has oversaw major improvement in the play of several guys he inherited and he’s had two DB’s drafted in two years, including a top 10 first rounder; CJ Henderson and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. In addition, Mullen has about 5 DB’s on the current roster who have a great shot at playing themselves into the NFL draft; Marco Wilson, Kaiir Elam, Brad Stewart, Shawn Davis, Donovan Stiner.

DB isn’t the spot to pick on UF when it comes to player development and the NFL.

That’s TG not Mullen. I’d be shocked if Mullen has much of anything to do with defense.

Nobody gives a sh*t.

Haven’t heard of any DB’s opting out. And I doubt you’ll see the two attention-starved WR’s opt out when they realize what’s ready to take their place.

But as far as DB, who’s opting out?

I agree. Any player that thinks the world is going to stop because they opt out will be sadly mistaken. Once that reality hits most will beg back in so they don't ruin their dreams. Only a cancelled season will stop most from playing.

Right on the money, good post.

Recruiting wise. The High Schools hate him.

FSU is like 30th on Rivals and the others.

High schools must also hate Mullen. Or maybe HS players are afraid Ms Mullen will French kiss them and pass CoVid or God knows what else if they sign to play for Coach Cuck.

Bumper crop in Florida this year, and Mullen will have exactly zero commits in the Florida top 25 after Sapp bails per rumor. Canes, Bama, Clemson all running a train on UF on Florida recruits. UF recruit ranking going down like a cold beer in a frat house in August.

Oh that’s right. Mullen is the master at taking overrated former 4 and 5 stars as transfers who didn’t pan out with their original school. Like Shorter from Penn State, former 5 star who was too fat and out of shape to run a pass pattern before PSU said adios.

Last, nobody cares about your UF posts here. They’re frequently error filled, they’re UF homeristic, and most of all, they are about UF.

Jesus, the mans been there 6 months and pissed off the high schools already? What did he do?

I think it had to do with the lie Norvell was caught in regarding the civil unrest/racism. Norvelle stated in an interview that he had spoken with every single player individually about racism and such, but several players stepped up and challenged that and said basically “no he hasn’t, he hasn’t spoken to me” etc. It was a sticky situation for several days and died down after Norvelle issued an apology. He also got some blowback, right or wrong, for banning hoodies and earbuds from the football facilities. That didn’t go over well at all.

Yet anyone with a brain cell knows it isn’t Mullen coaching the defense and it’s Todd G’s.

So if Harrison Bailey goes on to become an All-American and Heisman winner, Jeremy Pruitt gets no credit for having the program around him that fostered his development? Pruitt hired the strength coach, the Offensive Coordinator, the QB coach, ran the practices, hires the nutrition center specialist, signed off and contributed to weekly game-planning, etc. But no credit for Pruitt, he’s a defensive guy, it’s all Chaney?

I don’t think so. Same applies to Mullen.
