Really high potential player. Not sure a plug and play starter and is a 4 to play 4 guy. Just got 3 of those. Do we double down on young guys with high potential or wait for a sure fire starter? My gut is we wait for starter
After losing Smith and likely missing on Scott a move like this makes sense though right? Especially if it helps move Slaughter back to safety. Then if a sure fire starter comes along we take him too. Matthews and Gibson have an extremely high ceiling, but the most ideal scenario is them being 2nd stringers and given time to develop and not get thrown straight into the fire from day 1. Plus we need all the corner depth we can get. Having a legit SEC starter with Burrell and this guy getting most of the starting reps to open the first few games along with Gibson, Matthews, Williams, and Hadden would actually give us a decent corner room which would help us get better at safety and star by putting Slaughter and Turnage back at their natural positions

Sounds like we aren’t pursuing him much anymore, Joshua Joseph’s says we aren’t getting him now.

I don’t get it. As bad as our secondary is one would think we would be going after these guys with experience.
He was a freshman for A&M last year. Did he actually play? According to KingNico, it was his lack of experience that made us pass. We're looking for someone to come in and start right away. We already have unproven talent in the guys we just brought in.

There have been several high potential CB transfers this year.
