'21 GA DL Amari McNeill (Colorado)

Was interviewed on the Locked On Vols podcast yesterday. Well spoken, mature kid.

Said former Vol Anthony Sessions and his head coach forwarded his film to the Vols. Both know Pruitt.

Reiterated his plan is to play on the DL.

Not signing until February.

Yep, back when we pulled in all those blue-chippers it culminated in our best season of all time... 2017. Wait... I may have that wrong...
I guess you missed the get a real coach part of my comment? I didn’t see one of those walking the sidelines in 2017.

bleu shirt?

bleu shirt?

Wouldn't think Blue shirt with the '22 class being so loaded, but technically, with the COVID resitrictions I wonder if many recruits wouldn't fall into the Blue Shirt catogory since they didn't get to take official visits to campus?

What’s crazy is you can go visit D2 or D3 schools. My son just got his 3rd offer from a D3 school. We went and visited Centre,Kentucky and Grove City,Pennsylvania. He just got offered by Elmhurst,Illinois yesterday. So I guess we try to go visit it now.

Whew. That’s good to hear. I was really sweating that Notre Dame College offer.

I don't question Pruitt's recruiting prowess. Identification of talent to recruit is a different matter.

Very Athletic good quick feet. He is the 3 star with huge upside so yes a big man that can move worth a scholarship. In CHRIST Alone

Just listened to the 247 podcast where they discussed this commitment. Callahan pointed out from the jump that he’s a DL for us, as the kid has said himself. But Rucker kept talking about him as an OLineman and how some of our best offensive lineman have been 2-3 star guys etc.

Callahan said he’s an Atlanta area kid so he’s more battle tested than most in the country and that he loves his film. Shows a lot of athleticism. Suggested the people on the site might bump his rankings up and it’d be warranted. Etc.

My daughter was getting looked at by both centre and grove city before deciding to play basketball at Montreat

I worked and lived on Elmhurst for a little while. I really liked how the size of the city and how nice it was. The campus seemed nice' but I'm not sure what other a lot D2 or D3 schools are like. I would say a selling point is you feel like you are just in a normal town, but a 15 minute train ride and you are in Chicago.

That’s the one thing that worries me some. Being that close to Chicago. Their selling point was a chance to play early either side of the ball. OL or DL.

You will have to check it out and see how you feel. Elmhurst is a pretty affluent town. I was there in 2016 when the presidential election had things crazy. I never felt unsafe in the west suburb. You have to make a effort to make it into Chicago, but it's a cheap train ride.
