The big man is down to Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Tennessee with a clear commitment timeline in place. He has already frequented each campus, but will work back to each for an official visit before all is said and done.

The four-star prospect plans to announce his commitment on July 20.

Garner is also scheduled to check in on four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett in Athens, Georgia. Garrett is scheduled for a June official visit with the Vols.

Peach State defensive lineman Christian Garrett received a visit from Rodney Garner on Wednesday, and the Vols remain in play here ahead of official visits. Garrett will decide on July 20th, and the more we check around on this one, the more we believe he is going into official visits with an open mind.

Tennessee has hosted Garrett several times, Georgia and Clemson have both been heavily involved, and some we have spoken with believe Georgia Tech is very much still in play here right now as well.

I wonder why Georgia would take a commitment from Steven Shivers now out of Brentwood, TN and obviously Garrett.

Yet, Tennessee isn’t going after Shivers at all.
Just goes to show you, no one ever really knows what the coaches want

I mean it would have been a good get no doubt but it’s not like we’ve been leading for him this whole time and Georgia just Swooped in and got him. Now if we miss on House/Bryce Jenkins then we can freak out a little about Dline recruiting . Also this was the most likely scenario with or without NIL.
