I really don't see why everyone is pimping up Lagway. He had 1 great game vs UK. Yes, I know he is a true freshman and he was the consensus top QB in in the 2024 class. But he isn't playing at level that would make you think he's the next Tua or Bryce Young or something like that. Honestly, if he simply repeated Mertz' 2023 season, I would be surprised. And they went 5-7 in 2023.

I really don't see why everyone is pimping up Lagway. He had 1 great game vs UK. Yes, I know he is a true freshman and he was the consensus top QB in in the 2024 class. But he isn't playing at level that would make you think he's the next Tua or Bryce Young or something like that. Honestly, if he simply repeated Mertz' 2023 season, I would be surprised. He’s really good. Been injured but if you watched the last couple games he’s getting significantly better each week. They don’t beat ole miss, lsu, fsu without him.

Florida found a defense over the 2nd half of the season. That's primarily what has spurred their turn around. Lagway has been solid. But nothing that screams he's a superstar.

I would gladly take him if we didn’t have Nico. He’s impressive for a freshman. His statline isn’t impressive but he makes crazy plays at the right times to extend drives.
