We don’t have a shot with the #1 overall player in the state of Georgia. That’s my point. I mean why was this thread even bumped? Unless I am mistaken, which could easily be the case, I haven’t heard of any movement with us and him.

No, not mistaken, it was a useless bump; and, yes, we have no shot with Griffin.

However, while yes, again, its been awhile since UT has done so, everyone else and their mama has landed the #1 out of Georgia in the last 10 to 15 years. Since 2010, eight different out-of-state schools have went there and pulled their #1, including us.

And this is why it’s silly when our fans complain about instate kids who go elsewhere from Tennessee. They go out of state from everywhere. We do a really good job of keeping the instate kids we want at UT…especially the ones from Middle Tennessee.

It’s like if you’re a 5 star in the Tarheel State, then that means you definitely have to become a vol 😅

Terrible bump… useless bump… why was this Thread even bumped?
All I did was ask if we were still in communication with him. We need defensive tackles, he’s one of the best uncommitted defensive tackles in the country. What the hell is wrong with you guys?
I must have touched a nerve or something.

That’s exactly why we need to grow NIL as others like AU and evenGaTech are doing. Status quo isn’t going to work unless the rules change.
