Ga/FL/TN/AL something to watch

Won’t know till he signs on the 22nd but I think he’s taking an OV to UF this weekend and OM is a dumpster fire with zero 4 stars in their recruiting class which is dead last in sec btw and about to have a few if not more very talented kids transfer

Plus he seems to talk to a lot of uf commits on Twitter

But having said all that I think he might wanna replace patterson and throw it 40 times a game and I’m not sure he likes the idea of being Mullen’s offense maybe he thinks he’ll be recruited over

At this point I consider him gone even tho it’s probably like 50/50

Probably correct not to mention he feels slighted by Mullen. Weren’t you going after a couple juco QBs? Mullen had Cam until he was outbid. I like Pitts at TE and like Pierce at RB, think he will surprise a few.

I think there is talent there with Corral to work with.

UGA is the new guy in this years playoffe the rest have been there and won at least one game

I seriously doubt they come out over Bama Clemson and Oklahoma

Not to mention they got the true freshman quarterback. I can almost garuntee he will have a bad game against Bama or Clemson defense if he manages to get passed OU which is gonna be tough I don’t think mayfield gets out dueled by a true frosh

Plus Mayfield/OU has actually beaten better teams this year then Georgia

Georgia best win is over auburn missing their best player coming off back to back wins over #1 teams they were beaten up before the game even started

Name one? I mean, while I enjoy the Auburn excuses, Kerryon Johnson is their best player an he was in the game all the way to the end. And if you paid attention to the first game that Auburn won, you would know that both lines of scrimmage were dominated by Auburn. They were healthy on both when the faced in the championship despite UGA going through cut block city .. errr ... Georgia Tech the week before.

Plus, you can't talk about Auburn beating the number one team two weeks in a row as if it was a big thing, then turn around and say that OU has beaten better teams already when none of them have sniffed the number one ranking. Those two don't add up.

OM really is a dumpster fire so not sure why Corral would go there. Unless Mullen is pushing him to look elsewhere I can't understand why, looking at what's in front of him, he would pick one over the other. I think Corral, who can run quite well, would work nicely in a Mullen offense.

Update on Corral, Luke saying the flip is very possible and he is just waiting to see if this weekend’s OV is cancelled before he puts in a CB to OM.

If he flips, reason is obvious, he needed to feel wanted.

Look up the recruiting rankings. Georgia has significantly more talent than Oklahoma. Georgia is also more balanced. Great on both lines of scrimmage. They can run the ball and stop the run. Oklahoma is not very good defensively.

This game won't even be close.

Georgia will annihilate Oklahoma.

41-14.

Coralls leaving UF or OM makes absolutely zero sense to me. You just got Mullen, a well known and respected coach. Who is also a good QB developer. OM promotes Luke and is a heaping pile of ****. There are only one of two things going on here. One, he has some sort of ties to Luke or someone else on OM. Or two, OM has an elite bag man who is doing work.

There is no rational reason to leave Gainesville for freaking Mississippi.

No doubt UGA is on a recruiting roll right now, almost ten 5-stars in Athens this weekend, over half of which will be Dawgs. Fully expect them to sign 6 5-stars this year. No one else in the SEC has even one.

As long as the Bama bump doesn’t occur in record fashion, Alabama will finish 2nd in the SEC in recruiting. If you look at next year and where the prospects lie, UGA will be above UA next year as well as most prognosticators project UGA with the #1 class next year, some are saying could be this year as well if they pull Parsons and Mays.

That said, I think Tn made the perfect hire. Success starts with recruiting and no one knows it better than Pruitt. Tn will have a top 5 class next year.

I think you are looking at the end for Alabama, yes they will close strong. Yes, top 5, maybe top 3. But, their reign at the top is over with UT and UGA sharing the top guys with UA.

FL, ole FL, they have the most access to talent than the other three. But, Richt and Taggart will keep them away from it. Mullen is good coach, good to average recruiter. Pruitt, Saban, Smart are not good recruiters, they are ELITE.

TN, UA, GA, will be top 5 for a long time.

The battle has begun. Let’s go.

:eek:lol:

Georgia did great in the rematch no doubt basically flipped the script completely with the line of scrimmage dominating on your side instead of theirs

But I can’t help but feel like Kerryon was a huge loss he was the best back in the sec this year

But if he was short of anything but amazing which def could of happeneyyou still blow them out

Having said all that it just wasn’t the same auburn team of that beat back to back number ones

Maybe they didn’t beat better teams but OSU TCU and okie st were at least equal to Aub ND and Miss st

I can go along with all of this .. And to the Kerryon point, I believe if you can't go at least 3 deep at RB in the SEC, you will find yourself in trouble at some point. I believe it was 2013 when Gurley was hurt, then Keith Marshall gets his ACL destroyed at UT and suddenly, UGA is running guys like JJ Green (now at GT) out there in the I-Formation. But AU has typically been that team that will ride a guy for 30 carries a game and health be damned.

Now, I see you're a UF fan .. WHAT THE HELL IS MATT CORRAL THINKING!?!?!?!? Dumbest thing I have seen a HS kid do in some time. Now committed to his third different school at this point too.

If you recall, he was begging UGA to take him. Curious to who the Gators take at QB now. For both Tn and UF, the recruiting rankings typically go up after the hire a coach, not backwards?

If all works out Mullen could have a hell of a week

Emory Jones
Van Jefferson
Trey Dean
Noah Banks
John Huggins

Jones would be the big coup tho flipping him from OSU with others like Bama and FSU trying to get him

Not bad for a guy who some thought can’t recruit lol tried to tell y’all judging him from his time at Miss st is like judging Franklin for not signing top 10 classes at Vandy

Hell at least Franklin had Nashville to sell Mullen had Starkville

Agree completely .. I think Mullen's SEC record gets thrown around too much to say he isn't a good coach but who else would have Sissy St winning anything in the SEC in that division? As far as developing QBs, he isn't Malzahn where he has to inherit one that has already been developed or is already UBER talented to begin with. He took Fitz who NO ONE wanted, especially at QB and made him into something other teams game plan for. I think there is even hope for Franks with Mullen in there.

I also think he may have ran off Matt Corral and decided to gamble on getting anyone else.

Ya I don’t think he showed Corral much love at all

Basically he still had a offer but didn’t really care if he stayed or went elsewhere

Apparently he was the first to offer Emory way back in 9th grade then of course he blew up became a 5 star junior year and got offers from all over and obviously miss st couldn’t compete with OSU then he got hired by UF and by that time Emory’s commitment was shaky he was looking at Bama and Auburn so Mullen went all in to get him

UF depth chart is much more favorable if he wants to play early and it’s looking like he might be a gator tomorrow

While I agree Franks could be solid under Mullen I think Emory has a decent shot at being day 1 starter

Hoping Van Jefferson gets that waiver to play immediately if he does and Mullen can figure out a way to get decent play at quarterback gators could surprise a lot of people on offense

I'm sorry but watching Franks' demeanor on the sidelines all year long I have just become convinced that he does not have it, mentally. Like the line from Bull Durham, he's got a million dollar arm and a five cent head.

If Jones comes and its a redshirt situation for him such that he we have to rely on Franks, I do predict we become a running offense, with limited playcalling revolving around Franks having to find receivers or check off plays.

All could be true but the change of scenery at the coaching level may be huge for Franks .. Emory would be a huge get for Mullen and if that falls through, wonder how much contact Mullen has had with Michael Penix

Noah Banks is a gator! Very nice pick up him and the Texas transfer Jean Delance could be important pieces on the OL
