What is a quiet period?

During a quiet period, a college coach may only have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents on the college’s campus. A coach may not watch student-athletes compete (unless a competition occurs on the college’s campus) or visit their high schools. Coaches may write or telephone college-bound student-athletes or their parents during this time.

What is a dead period?

During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches may write and telephone student-athletes or their parents during a dead period.

I will be a happy camper if we finish the class with Marshall, Wright, and Gray as the big pieces rounding it out. Marshall would be a huge pull.

Agree. We need one of the elite LB’s and Marshall is probably the most likely, even though he’s less than a 50/50 shot.

why does anyone think he will sign with us? Did I miss something? This thread, along with OP's and Nolan's should be shutdown.

Why? no one has signed anything yet. Nothing is over. Even our commits can change their mind. Why do you want to give up? There usually are a few surprises when these kids sign. That is the fun part.

i don't think Marshall is singing here. id feel a little more confident if he was coming up here htis weekend vs. Athens.

i think he's been trolling, and is only using TN as what he thinks is leverage against UGA to retain a spot for him....reminding them he does have options......

that said, of the three prospects he listed, Marshall's is the only one i would say leave up. the other two, they can be deleted for all i care.

Seems like he wants to keep his back up option available just in case Georgia does the unthinkable and sway Dean

This is closer than I thought after reading that article. If he feels so strong about Sherrer as like a dad makes you wonder why its so hard to go Vols. I know, I know , its GA and they appear to be on the rise and that makes it easier for recruits to jump on board than to be a part of a new staff and university that is down. You would think a relationship that tight he would want to play for Sherrer. just my humble but accurate opinion. :p
