'25 GA LB Jadon Perlotte (Tennessee)

He could either be a BIG safety that hits like a truck, or a really fast LB. I think he sticks at LB after adding his "freshman 15lbs" but you never know.

This is legitimately the best LB class in 20 years IMO...and Coach Inge has been great since the moment he stepped on campus. It was easy to tell from his introductory press conference that he was extremely intelligent and had a teachers mentality...but IMO he has been great at developing young guys, working within Banks scheme, and now an amazing recruiting haul with 3 LBs that UGA and Bama would LOVE to have on campus. Coach Inge is killing it. Our defense is gonna be legit every season.
The linebackers we have are going to be a strength of this team next year, and getting this strong of a linebacker class is just going to add to that.! GBO VFL

The Scout on Perlotte

“I have seen Jadon Perlotte from ninth grade on. Obviously, Buford is one of the top programs in the country, and he has been making plays. I have talked to people over the years, and every time I see Buford play, Jadon shows up. He is making tackles in the backfield. He is making sacks. He is knocking passes down and playing out in space. What I love the most about him is that he plays with consistent fire and consistent intensity and consistent energy. He is a guy that others on that defense kind of feed off of because he plays on fire all the time whether he is playing against the run or rushing the quarterback. He is intense all the time. That is probably the biggest thing for me is just how hard he is playing consistently—if it is game one or game fifteen in Georgia—he shows up. He makes plays and always flashes and pops up in the biggest moments.” –On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons

What does this mean for Tennessee

This is another huge addition to the linebacker room for the Vols. Perlotte has been a long-time top target and can play all over the field and fit multiple roles in Tennessee’s defense. Tennessee recruited him while he was committed to Georgia and almost pulled off the flip. After Perlotte chose USC in the Summer, Tennessee never relented, and that should tell you what you need to know about how they value his game.

Tennessee’s linebacker class is full of versatility and guys that just love to go and play football. Perlotte joins Christian Gass, Brenden Anes, and Jaedon Harmon to give Tennessee one of, if not the best, linebacking classes in the nation.

Not gonna lie...I completely forgot about Anes. Glad our staff didn't though. This is THE best LB class I can remember since the 90s. Wow. Gotta be the best LB class in the nation. We are ALREADY stout at LB and young. Good grief we are loaded now at LB for years to come.

And I'm a happy camper knowing that.

Kid is 6'3 210. Isnt screaming fast for a LB. But at that size does he stay a LB?
Jalen Smith came in at like 205. They’re gonna put some weight on him for the first year for sure. Hopefully he adjusts to it quicker than Jalen did at the beginning of the season though he’s come around now and is looking a lot better.

Side note: I’m absolutely loving how the coaches keep getting these Gwinnett boys on the team and are constantly targeting the area. If they can lock down a decent percentage of top talent from Gwinnett every year and keep them away from UGA, we’ll be competing for championships consistently.

4.50 40 isn’t fast for a LB or safety? Thats what they show for his 40 from one of the camps and that would have been 2nd fastest LB at combine and like 10th fastest safety. I kind of hope he can stick at safety, I mean there are a few good S in the NFL like Hamilton and Delpit that are his height or close. Heck one of the top CB this recruiting class is like 6’4, don’t see that often, they either play WR or they aren’t highly rated. So I’m excited to see what Jadon can do here!

he seemed to adjust well. again could be a long strider. speed didn't seem to jump off film, just an arm chair observation.

def one of my fave recruits this cycle.
