'25 GA LB Jadon Perlotte (Tennessee)

Important people in the TN world want to see us move up the recruiting rankings. It may seem silly but it matters.

It’s BS and is another hurdle we have to fight.
Oh I agree to an extent. I just mean people need to stop bitching and moaning about the staff not getting a top 3 recruiting class year after year. When the services actively boost Bama, Georgia, OSU commits in order to help those programs land in the top three year over year while they derank our commits. Just keep stacking wins on and off the field, at some point we cant keep fretting over some corrupt nerd's leaderboard ranking of high school athletes

Well yeah that would be obvious, ADs fire football coaches over their recruiting abilities. Mullen at Florida being an example. Richt recruited well but not Kirby level and we see the monster they built. Lanning coming to Oregon from Georgia and they’re heating up that operation. Important people pay attention to recruiting. They take note

Recruiting for sure matters, but Oregon is heating up because of NIL. The NIKE doner is 86 and basically said sent me the bill haha.

UGA can’t take everybody. Them filling a guy’s spot with someone they like better doesn’t mean the guy is a scrub or can’t play.

Not surprised the services overreact to what the perceived best evaluators do. What’s unjustifiable is letting a fan-driven narrative about a kid influence your rankings to that extent.

Saw nothing on his film that caused me alarm. There’s not much tape of him in pass coverage, which coaches value more these days, but looks to have excellent instincts, nose for the ball, length and awareness to stack-and-shed, and against elite competition at that. Everything you want in a run defending LB.

😂😂😂 that’s literally not how this recruitment played out at all, we beat them for a recruit they wanted you don’t waste an official visit on a guy just after our visit just to tell him you are no longer recruiting him…get real guys

whatever sunshine-y narrative you wanna tell yourself, dude.

Everyone has been saying he wouldn’t be in UGA’s class for months. While he was a commit. Characterizing this as a battle that went to the wire is self-delusion. Thinking there’s any shame in getting a good player, even if another team "didn’t want him", is worse.

So why did they bring him on an ov after us?

So Georgia brought him in on an OV, their mods said they still were working to land him but now he’s not a take? Delusional is a good description for you pal.

You’d have to ask them. AP and a Georgia staffer were both saying he wouldn’t be in their class prior to that.

Probably recognized the kid was being slow- played.

Given the services’ reactive rankings, kinda seems like they were waiting to hear from Gass, and I really hope I’m wrong and he doesn’t commit to them in a week.

Could involve another kid I don’t even know about.

But I’d personally be happy to have Perlotte regardless of what any other school thinks of him.

😂😂😂 pure delusion AP has already said Georgia wanted him we just beat y’all out for him, you don’t waste an official for no reason…your excuses are hilarious though so thanks for that

You’ve def followed recruiting long enough you should be able to recognize a slow play. Oh well, don’t let reality get in the way of a good story.

UGA mod, pre visit: FWIW, I’ve never gotten the sense that UGA is actively trying to chase this kid off.

Lol. Not actively. Might need him if they don’t land targets higher on their board.

Recruiting rankings are beginning to be a joke. Dropping folks depending on where they go to school is just sick and disgusting. Georgia and Bama probably paying for perception rankings. Total BS! GBO

First, AP said he didn’t think he’d take the visit, this was after he and other teams mods said they didn’t see him ending up in UGA’s class.

"I would not say that Georgia doesn’t want him, but he has continued to look around and they have just decided to continue to recruit others… I think he fell in love with Tennessee last weekend".

He really doesn’t wanna say UGA doesn’t want him. Even tho they were still recruiting for his spot while he was a commit. I wonder why AP wouldn’t wanna say that? Y’all are exhibit A as to why he didn’t.

I’m glad Jadon got the message y’all ignore. And I really hope Gass doesn’t commit to them in a week, but it sure looks like it.
Y’all come here to bitch about reactive rankings then completely ignore the evidence it points to. 😂

When Travis Smith commits, that’s the time to gloat about beating UGA for a kid. This… this is embarrassing.

Uh they don’t need any help with perception

“He really doesn’t want to say UGA doesn’t want him” so you are just assuming that’s what AP meant by that quote? 😂😂😂 AP has never been one to mince words nor has ever not understood the importance of official visits to programs who want a recruit but apparently Benholt seems to think Georgia likes wasting them for some reason

The reason people were saying that they didn't see him in Georgia's class was because the kid committed super early, and has since taken a lot of visits to other schools. Lots of unofficial visits I might add. This has nothing to do with ability or lack there of. There was a lot of smoke of a FSU flip originally. Then he spent a lot of time at UT. This wasn't a "git" situation. Is this a bigger gain for the Vols than it is a loss for UGA? Sure. But he definitely wasn't persuaded to look around. The real loss comes if we land Gass as well. The combination of those two would be a major recruiting win for the Vols. You can tell that On3 is on some BS with their reason for dropping him. This kid is likely to be a 6'3" 235lb ILB that can run as a RS freshman, but they dropped him because of "measurables". smh.
