‘23 GA LB Jalen Smith (Tennessee commit)

Who is left in the '23 class to sway at the big cookout later this month? This class is filling up rather quickly.
Idk. Are Ramil, Osborne, Leacock, and Walker expected to announce before or after? I don't remember the date of the cookout. I know he is a longshot but will M'Pemba be there? Ja'Keem Jackson and Jordan Matthews? Mizell and Ayden Williams? I'm pretty much making a rando magic wishlist here without knowing who is coming. I don't know who the under the radar guys might be. Will any '24 guys be there too or separate days for rising juniors? I would love to hear your thoughts. You would probably actually know 😂

That is an insane number of tackles and against some of the toughest competition in the country. How anyone has him a 3 star is just undefendable imo. Quality and depth at Edge and this guy in the middle as run stopper. The future looking bright for our defense. 😎😎. Didn’t see or notice any highlights of him in coverage, so not certain about that part of his game, but all else looks promising.

It's

It's July 30th I think. All the talk previously had been how important it was to get Bradley back on campus for the cookout. I think Ramil will announce before then, but don't hold me to that. I think Leacock is a Vol either way. It would be great to get all those DB's back with a bunch of our current commits, but I also haven't heard them mentioned as attendees. Osborne seems like a mystery all together right now, with the weird Texas leads out of the blue. Walker seems like the most likely candidate to turn the heat up on that's not a DB. The other receiver targets look like their recruitments could go well into the fall, with the exception of Mizell. @allvolrecruiting help us out here.

I just watched this kid’s film… his closing speed stands out immediately. North south east west he just gets to the ball in the shortest amount of time and yardage possible.

How is he rated anything lower than .92? Especially since he plays top end GA ball

He has 6 "big time offers" - that is 4* territory for sure. Maybe 90-92 like you said.

He has plenty of time.

“2021: Earned all-county and all-state recognition after he set a Grayson single-season record with 173 tackles (107 of which were solo) in 14 games. Also credited with 13 QBH, 10 sacks, a FF and a FR. That production helped the Rams go 10-4 and make a run in Georgia’s AAAAAAA state playoffs.”

Pretty impressive numbers last fall.
Bump for a reminder of his insane numbers last fall

This kid had just as many solo tackles last year as Owen Pappoe did when he broke the state record and J Smith is playing against the best players the state of Georgia has to offer. High four-star recruit, IMO!

Yes. But he and OP largely played against the same competition. Pretty sure Grayson is in the same classification as they were when OP was there.
