i think you're right.

i'm not sure, however, what the rule says about hiring a coach, AFTER a kid is enrolled. probably frowned upon.........:p

Just reading tea leaves. Close with Sherrer and Pruitt supposedly. Plus no LB's visiting this weekend? I'm thinking there's quite a bit of behind the scenes recruiting going on with our staff and their top targets/closest relationships and once the playoffs are over we'll see some flips by big time recruits. JMO

I think this makes total sense. Both the DCs trying not to rock the boat until after the playoffs.

i'm sure they have a board somewhere with priorities before dec 20. and another one for after dead period.

i'm like you, i think the next couple months after the dead period are going to be a little nuts. and not just for us...you got FL, aTm, GA, Bama, Aub, FSU, us....all vying for a lot of the same guys, and so many coaches have changed, kids are being re recruited to new schools by same coaches, same school by different coaches.....

i expect a roller coaster, and this feb signing day to be interesting to say the least.

Iirc the rule is they can't be hired for 2 years

Now we might be able to hire him as one of the 10 on field coaches but I don't think that is what he has been rumored to be hired As.

If Propst is hired as a position coach, the rule discussed above is not applicable. If he is hired for an administrative position, the rule does apply.

So they can restrict who we can sign AND who we can hire? DoesnÂ’t seem fair to the kid or the coach.

ThereÂ’s always a work around. I donÂ’t have the energy to read up on it though. If we get probst or Peterson we can worry more about it then I guess.

I think that this finally got cleared up. If Propst is an on the field coach, then there is no problem. If he is some kind of consultant, QC, or other position off the field, then we cannot recruit players from his school for two years.
