'19 GA OL Wanya Morris (Tennessee signee)

Well considering year 2 is where you see the real gains from S&C, and rock gullison was here barely even a year. He just didn’t have the time to get them right. You can’t constantly change your strength coach every year and expect to see Bama sized guys out there immediately.
Dooley was the only one that changed S&C coaches YEARLY. 3 seasons...3 coaches. Butch kept Lawson for 3 and many fans were complaining about injuries like Gaulden. Fitz seems to be a college guy for the long haul so we should start seeing results. On Gullickson? No he didn’t get much time, but that team shirtless pic was god awful and foreboding of what kind of long term answer he was. 🤮

We hear this every year. Do people seriously believe that for the past decade we've just had this super inferior S&C program? I don't buy it. I think Butch just recruited undersized guys, and we're going to have to recruit over most of them before we can see any major progress.

The last time we were supposed to get stronger all of a sudden because we brought in Rock. What happened to that? He just didn't know how to train athletes?

Rock didnt even have a full year to implement his program. We are on our third S&C coach since 2015. Thats just insane. When you swith S&C coaches, you probably lose close to a year. Butch fired Dave Lawson after 2015. That we we almost beat #1 Alabama and it was said that we were the most physical team Bama played that year. In 2016 I dont even think we had a S&C coach. If you want to see the importance of n elite S&C program just think about this.

Alabama- Scott Cochran (12 years)
LSU- Tommy Moffitt (19 years)
Clemson- Joey Batson (22 years)

See a trend?

I wasn't aware of all that. I assumed it was just typical fans creating a narrative to match what they want to be true.
Dude just look at their physique. No triceps bulging out, no Goldberg traps, hardly any definition at all. Just weak and it showed on both sides of the ball getting pushed backwards.

This is very true. We have the weakest looking team in the conference. 90% of this roster looks no different than their HS scouting profile in fact many look less defined and pudgier

CP make the reference that it was obvious that our sideline didn't look anything like UA's.

Remember when people tried to defend the shirtless pic of the linemen from a couple of years ago? Everyone except Kongbo just looked like fat blobs.

New coaches hire their own people. Nothing screamed elite in Rock’s limited run that would encourage Pruitt to give him a shot...specially that embarrassing pic.

Poor S&C shows a lack of initiative on the players' part, too. Championship teams have leaders that work out and practice on their own time and push their teammates to do the same. Look at the Basketvols. Schofield and Williams stay after practice and spend extra time in the gym and others follow their example. They're doing it the right way, and it has paid off-- for them and the team.

Dude I can’t get excited enough about this basketball team. Great guys to root for.

I don't remember anyone trying to defend it. I remember everyone saying the same stuff they're saying now.

I like this kid a lot!! He's very sound with his technique and do not get over powered though he's smallish.
They better be living in the weight room or will be recruited over. Pruitt is recruiting 5 Oline and that ought to send a message about what he thinks of his current roster.

Yeah coming in at over 300. No more lil dudes like thinking it's a good idea to try and make a TE a OL, Brooks, Antonetti, what about the walk on a few years back that HAD to play on a acl injury. Thank the lord we ain't got to worry about that kind of recruiting again.

People were. Granted, a lot of people found the picture alarming, but some were saying it was normal for linemen to look like that. And it's true that linemen aren't gonna always gonna look like Mr. Olympia, but most of the guys in the pic looked like they had almost no muscle mass at all.
