'21 GA OT Amarius Mims (Georgia commit)

Do you think Mims finds himself pulling for one team over the other this Saturday? If so,he'll know where he's going soon if he doesn't already.

I think he may already know. My gut is telling me it’s us unless we give him a reason not to. Based on all the news recently and things he’s said out of his own mouth, he’s ours to lose imo.

I hope you're right but 247 sports thinks he's 100% UGA. What do they know that we don't??

Georgia-Tennessee game may have huge ramifications in recruiting

“I’m looking forward to it a lot because I commit the following Wednesday,” Mims told 247Sports Monday morning. “It could go either way to be honest.”

“I think it’s huge,” said Mims offensive line coach Ryan McKenzie from Cochran (Ga.) Bleckley County High. “From Georgia’s standpoint Coach (Matt) Luke is going to have a chance again to prove to him he’s more than capable of producing top quality guys against a great SEC opponent. Tennessee is going to have an opportunity to come in and show him they’re trying to get back to prominence and reestablish their program competing against a high-quality SEC team. I think it’s huge for whoever comes out on top. It’s going to show him the upside of the program and those particular coaches and program.”

Mims knows what he’s looking at going into the game.

“Which team has more depth at my position and to see who needs me or is it just recruiting talk.”

Rivals.com - Making the Case: Five-star OL Amarius Mims

Tennessee has positioned themselves well for Mims. In fact I think Tennessee has climbed further than any team in this race over the last six months. He has built a really strong relationship with the entire staff and not just one individual coach. He has built a bond with multiple players on the football team which is why you saw him tweeting after Tennessee’s win over South Carolina last Saturday. Even with it being a dead period, he has been to Knoxville several times this summer. This is a two team race with the Vols and Georgia and Tennessee quietly has become a real factor in this decision.”
