'21 GA OT Amarius Mims (Georgia commit)

I am wondering why the coaches put JG in an empty backfield in the second half. That was an invitation for GA to tee off on him which they did. Also it seemed that all our runs were between the tackles when it looks like a few could have gone outside.

Nah, going lateral against all the speed they have is even harder, if we were going to be able to run at all it should have been on Trey and Cade's hips but they couldn't move 99 and 95 off the point of attack with any consistency.

I realize it's been stated repeatedly that players don't choose a school over one game but if UT and UGA are indeed the two leaders in this and we happen to land him, then it will solidify the recruits are buying what JP and the Univ are selling. The culture itself and the belief we will rise to the top.

I still just feel like Mims would’ve chosen UGA already if he was going to. They’re not any different. They’re offering the same thing, only difference is Kirby is known more now for being skeezy

If we don't land him, will it mean the opposite? No, all of us who follow this stuff closely, myself included, I think can be tempted to attach too much importance to things which are really just the whims of teenagers.

Exactly. So if the loss yesterday doesn't influence him to pick GA then it goes back to what I was saying. We weren't chosen on a "whim". It goes deeper than that.

AP said he's closer to our players than UGA, and closer to UGA's coaches. Gotta win these battles.

Starts Sat by whuppin' Kentucky.

He's waiting til his birthday to announce. He may have already chosen UGA. Or he could have picked us. Who knows? But he doesn't want to tell people until his birthday.
