Another difference is that is one of Georgia's media/message board guys. You won't see Simonton or Brent Hubbs be that much of a homer. Just the opposite in fact.

I could be completely wrong but doesn’t Mims look a step slow in some of those clips?

I’d still like to have him regardless.

My grandparents were from Cochran and my mom was born there. Talk about a NOTHING town....I mean they JUST got a WalMart. I remember when a big day was going to Hawkinsville! Geesh. So no wonder the kid is enjoying the attention. For him and that town in general, this is HUGE. I want to see him here....but honestly, I think he ends up at UGA.. Would LOVE to be wrong.

Those clips aren’t what I’d expect from one of the nation’s best. I’m not an evaluator and I’d obviously be thrilled if he ends up in Orange but he didn’t look like the best OL in the nation in the reps seen above imo

I watched as well and guess I disagree. He looks ever bit as good as Wanya and Darnell did coming out of high school and is as textbook a tackle as you’ll find. Strong kid with fast feet for his size

No doubt the kid is talented and nobody is saying he’s overrated.

He just looks a bit slow going up against the quicker DEs. We still want him in this class regardless though.

Lived in Hawkinsville before moving to TN. Bleckley-Hawkinsville was/is a huge rivalry. Good story about Wayne McDuffie (FSU) and a fellow whose name I cannot recall right now, standing back-to-back and taking on a bunch of Cochran boys one night iñ fight (this was pre-Waffle House). They won.
