'21 GA OT Amarius Mims (Georgia commit)

UT needs to develop their own plan and tell Knox county health officials they will follow CDC federal guidelines for the football team.
There are starting to be lawsuits popping up against County Health Department Directors. A county in MO recently backed off mask mandates due to a lawsuit. Generally, it is tough since localities are allowed to be more strict but not less.

I'm surprised the AD has not requested a special case though. If they presented a management plan... like the one they've pretty obviously administered... then they should be able to get some slack.

May the better man win. He’s certainly capable of it, but I’m not totally convinced. We have two guys who will be juniors, who were once the shiny new toys themselves. Hopefully we can get him signed and find out.

He doesn’t have to beat either of them out to be a Day 1 starter. It’s becoming quite the fad to let talented underclass tackles start at Guard and then slide outside.

True. I like how we’ve recruited overall though. I just hope we land him. It’ll be nice to get to the point where we start true freshman offensive lineman because they’re that good and not because we absolutely have to.

I don’t see him beating an experienced Mays, Morris, or Wright. If Mays does play this season, he might enter the draft. I think there’s a decent chance we see him in 2021 either way though. That leaves one starting spot for Mims unless he can snap the ball. Calbert and Carvin aren’t going to just roll over for him. Not saying they’ll beat him out. Just saying there will be competition. That’s just my opinion though. Pruitt, Chaney, and Friend will put the best man on the field.

If Mays doesn't play this year, he's going straight into the draft. There's already talk of him being a first rounder before this season.
