RCS Miami: Prospects that earned their stripes

QUARTERBACK MVP

The class of 2021 prospect from the state of Georgia made the trip down to South Florida for the event and ended up leaving with the event’s MVP award. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound prospect has great arm strength and showed quite a bit of improvement over his performance at last year’s Rivals Camp event. The crop of signal-callers was a little deeper than in year’s past so McLaughlin walking away with the honors is only that much more impressive.

A year older than those in his class. Was slated to be the starter at North Gwinnett but transfered when Spires left for Camden.

I had heard something about his Dad held him back a year or something to gain a year in age for sports. I think he is almost the exact same age as Harrison Bailey at Marietta, but a grade behind.

Espn put out a study that over the last 10 years Gwinnett county has had the 4th most top 100 recruits in the nation with a total of 24.
The top 3 have at least two times the population, with 4 in 247 top 100 for this upcoming
season i am hopefull that Pruitt and company hit the county hard.

Would be nice to pull a few from there. Proximity to Athens, Clemson and Auburn makes it hard.

After he visits Georgia he'll be McLaughlin his way to the bank

See, that’s just the thing. We don’t have to pay them. They all want to go to UGA anyway, where all of their friends go and where their parents can drive 30 minutes to see them play, then back home.

But is Jeremy Pruitt enough of a recruiter to steal one from Appy State?
THAT is the question.

😂😂😂 yeah because kids are turning down big paydays just because they want to go to Georgia with their friends.

Y’all kill me sometimes.

Just stop it. Everybody knows about UGA admissions. About as bad as FSU admissions.

Yet not enough going on their message boards to keep them at home. UGA posters insist on coming over here and taking a dump in the neighbors yard.

and then expect us to thank them for it.

I don't mind the info bringers, even if they don't jive with the mood of the board. but the rest?

In a perfectly equal scenario, I'm sure that's true. In the real world, I highly doubt that. UGA paying them just puts them back on equal footing with the rest of the country. THEN what you said becomes true.

I don't know if they hate Tennessee or they want to be Tennessee.

Recruiting wrap: McLaughlin, who won the Quarterback MVP, already has nearly 20 offers, with Florida, Florida State, Michigan and more on his list.

Clarkson: “He’s just big-time. The ball just flies off his hands. He’s got probably one of the fastest releases I’ve ever seen. Very little hitch in his motion. His anticipation is so much better and the growth between his freshman year to where he is now; if you saw him last year at the camp in L.A. to this year, it’s not even close. No doubt the offers that he continues to get, they’re justified.”

Odd you would point something like that out seeing UT's acceptance rate as of 2016 was over 76% and Auburn, everyone in Georgia and Alabama's fallback plan is 77%. UGA's is 53%, Bama's is 54%, fact is UT is near the top for easiest schools to get accepted to in the SEC. Only places Easier are Ole Miss, LSU and Auburn, so as a UT fan it's not wise to crack on very many school's admittance requirements.
