'20 GA QB Harrison Bailey (UT SIGNEE)

Was with you up until the last 3 words....

Chaney is PATHETIC and WORTHLESS... He's filling out his card ready to retire after this gig.....

His personnel choices are pathetic....and his game plans do nothing to help his QB--other than the BYU game...
but then he went and did what he ALWAYS does....got predictable, conservative, and afraid in the 4th QTR of that game---the very same things that he did at UGA against BAMA the last 2 years.

He's an overpaid, overfed, drain on this team.
Again Oline is better, Chaney has as much to do with that as Friend, RBs have been better, wrs have gotten open just haven’t gotten the ball. It’s very hard to judge an OC when he doesn’t have a QB.

Chaney has been very successful everywhere else he’s been.

Agreed, don’t listen to the cry babies

The Blue Devils were idle this week and will host Edgewater (Fla.) at home next Friday. Through four games, Bailey has nine touchdowns to five interceptions, completing 59 percent of his passes for 277 yards per game.

Gotta have the quarterback make plays. I think we invented that. 😏

I wasn't even talking about Friend, but since you brought him up--he was very successful running the OL and offense at Colorado State.
But one thing I don't understand is their obsession with zone blocking schemes on a weak OL with 2 FR starting.
He's shown NO counter gaps...no trap blocking at all. And he expects FR OL to line up and get a push against JR and SR SEC DL----that's NOT GOOD COACHING...
Florida's D is fast and aggressive, and Chaney NEVER called one play to exploit those tendencies with reverses, bootlegs, or rolling the pocket to get his QB out on the perimeter.

It's CHANEY's responsibility to get the best QB starting in the lineup--and he hasn't done that.

It was CHANEY who refused to run the ball against GSU 50 times...
It was CHANEY who called the stretch play to Chandler where he scored from 30+ yards out against GSU a grand total of ONE TIME ALL GAME LONG!!!
It was CHANEY who put the game in the hands of an inept and inefficient QB against GSU.
It was CHANEY who decided to play musical chairs with his OL against GSU--if you're gonna give him credit for improved OL play, you have to give him blame for those stupid decisions, too!

It was CHANEY who choked away the BYU game with his play-calling in the 2nd half...(not to mention that he kept calling for plays that exposed JG's weaknesses).
It was CHANEY who called predictable and vanilla plays against BYU in the 4th QTR...instead of some misdirection or reverses when BYU was selling out to stop us on our last 2 possessions).
He repeated the same mistakes in the 4th qtr of that game that he did at UGA when the game was on the line against LSU, and Bama.

It's Chaney who made the decision to develop a game plan that relied on JG throwing the ball all over the field against Florida.
It's Chaney who also decided to call 2 consecutive pass plays with 2nd and goal from the 3 yd line, too.
It's Chaney who inserted Gray into the game and then called a play expecting him to block Florida's best Defensive player on the field.

Chaney had the best talent he's ever going to have on the field the past 2 years at UGA---and he choked UGA's chances away in the 2nd halves of the Bama games.
And his game plan for UGA against LSU last year demonstrated NO ABILITY to develop an effective strategy or make adjustments during the game.
Smart wisely made the decision to let him go instead of fighting to retain him.

He is THE most overrated OC in the entire NCAA--and has made a living off of Drew Brees success.

We can agree to disagree on JABBA.

There’s some good points you make for sure but we have a young Oline and a terrible QB. What impresses me about Chaney isn’t that he coached Brees. I’m more impressed by what he did with Peterman and Crompton. Although crompton May have been Kiffins doing.

My opinion of Chaney is he is a good OC. Comes up with a good game plan that, if excuted, works well. See the 1st half of the last two UGA-UA games. He gets killed when the other team adjusts. See 2nd half of the same two games when the UGA offense disappeared.

He does not have the horses here to compete in the SEC. But the overall lack of preparedness on the team's part sits squarely on CJP's shoulders. I have no idea what the hell he has been thinking.

Shrout like numbers on the TD to interception ratio. And I am usually the optimistic one.
shrout was like 29tds to 24 ints (1.2 tds for every pic)
Bailey is 9tds to 5 ints. (1.8 tds for every pic)

I wouldn't call that anywhere close to Shrout like.

Pretty sure he had 4ints against Grayson. Grayson has some absolute studs in the secondary, and from watching the game highlights from a few pages back those dudes made some great plays on those ints. Bailey will have great numbers come year end. Book it.

You can’t compare Shrout to HB after a few games this season. An honest analysis would be an entire season from HB. So after this current season or last year. If you take last year for example, these numbers aren’t close.

I know a current commit and he said baileys parents are really pushing him to go to UGA
