Again I said this when Maurer was 3rd string and had 2ints in the spring game.

This Bailey kid was supposedly our centerpiece all bought in! Now he's " going to keep quiet, but might take some visits"

This didn't surprise me at all. He's not going to be a Vol.

Maurer is playing because he has to. We are trying to go bowling and maurer gives us the best chance to do so. While I was impressed last night, Pruitt doesn’t give him anything credit when it’s due. I think Pruitt has his mind set on Bailey next year. If Maurer beats out Bailey then kudos to him, I’ll cheer for whoever.

We need to keep recruiting.

Jalin Hyatt is a more important recruit right now than anyone else! That kid is the key to our offense going next level.

All he has to do is stay firm to his commitment, and beat out Maurer when he gets here. Simple right?

If by playing Mauer is his reason to not come here he isn't very confident in himself. I don't think that is the reason, now if it is wanting to see more from the team that is different. I still think he will be a Vol, our O-Line has improved even though we still have miles to go we have the young guys that are only going to improve. Our D line does not have the depth or overall strength yet to compete with the bamas and georgias but they too should improve as the season goes if we don't have many injuries. All we can do is keep battling, Pruitt needs 2 more recuiting classes at least. In reality he has truly only had 1 full class, they early signing class his first year tied his hand big time. I will be looking for improvement next year and even more the year after. At that point let's see where we are, I still think Pruitt is going to get us turned around. Flame away if you must. GBO!!!!! VFL!!!!
