'20 GA QB Harrison Bailey (UT SIGNEE)

I want to see Bailey playing against college competition before I declare him the next Peyton. He has played against some great High School teams and done well, but, it's still high school. I belivev he can do it, but I want to see it.

Can we at least label him the next Eli, until then?

Its been reported pretty frequently Bailey is usually "the dude" in the huddle and the lockerroom. I seem to remember simmons talking about how guys love playing with him, guys are drawn to him as a leader, etc from his time at the opening. i think gilbert and ojulari were just tight. bj apparently had been feeling lsu the whole time, and gilbert going was his cue. and lsu is just an attractive option right now. but i don't think it has anything to do with bailey or his appeal as a teammate.

The only surprise was Arik picking LSU over Bama. We were always long shots there.

From recent reports it was quite the shocker that BJ chose UT, and the only explanation I can think of as to why he chose us was because of his relationship with Bailey.

Like Ron said, the Memphis 3 are outliers. Most dudes go opposite ways for college.

Highly rated and recruited kids, on same HS team, rarely go to the same school. It's about fit and relationships mostly. The Memphis LB's is the outlier.

It's the exception not the rule. No reason to think that HB has to go to LSU just because they are.

I going to share something with Vol nation. Do not put any stock into elite 11 as long as they let the players vote on each other.

This is straight from HB. His QB “Tribe” had a session where they have to give 1 negative and 2 positives about each other.
The first Qb said that they didn’t like the fact that he came into the event so highly ranked and that they felt he looked down on them.Then the others piggy backed off of that. This happened this morning before the voting for the rankings came out today.

He goes on to explain that he has never disrespect or talk down to any of his teammates. He just simply don’t want to hangout to late hours of the night with them and do things they are doing. He just wanted to compete and to win the Elite 11.

When the tribe voted or the QBs for who would represent them in the 7v7 they voted for 2 other kids.
He said when they named the other QBs you heard the coaches grumbling in the background “WHAT”!

So I expect these kids to vote him right out the rankings. This has nothing to do with how good you are!

Huge game Friday at home against Hillgrove if anyone is interested. It's a really important game to be able to host a 1st round game. If we were to lose we would have to go to either Lowndes or Colquitt in the 1st round, win and its Tift or Camden at home.

Hillgrove has Myles Murphy, who is rated as the top player in the state and #4 overall in the country.
