GA QB Zach Mettenberger dismissed from team

He was most naturally talented of the QB's, but a trouble maker. I don't think this is heart-breaking for them.

Bad for him, good for us! Mettenburg is a much better QB than Aaron Murray or what ever his name is.

I haven't followed them this spring, but I would assume he wasn't going to start anyways.

It will be Aaron Murray, but that is going to be a concern. Mettenberger was a punk, but he had NFL size and arm strength. Aaron Murray looks like a HS kid. He is 5"10, not real strong, makes Joe Cox look huge, but Richt claims he has the "it" factor.

Odds are after they realized they had no real threat running the ball that they would be running shotgun more, putting Murray on equal ground with Mettenberger.

Yea, Dooley said that Simms had the "it" factor and look how hes been doing.

But, according to several of my fellow posters, "he's just doing what college kids do." It's not a matter of doing what college kids do, it's a matter of being responsible.

prove your lack of knowledge. Mett moving to TE! thats about the craziest thing i've heard all day! guy is lucky to run a 5.0 40yd dash plus UGA has two outstanding TE's already. losing Mett will hurt QB depth for sure but thats about the only position he could play other than mascot.

Multiple people on one of the Georgia forums were saying he was the favorite to start.

Who knows though...

Hate to see any college student/athlete getting arrested but I won't pretend that I'm upset about a rival team losing depth.
