'21 GA RB Cody Brown

Because at this point that's wild speculation... laughably wild. There's been zero evidence to this point that Cody Brown is wavering in his commitment. If there is, point me to it and I'll apologize.
Don’t engage him. He’s great at showing up while things are terrible and spinning the narrative & while things are good he’s nearly invisible. Negavol extraordinaire

Kids commit to coaches more so than universities. If Pruitt is gone there is a decent chance Brown skips. I don’t know why that other poster is acting oblivious to that fact.
I agree, the majority of kids do. But it would be unwise to believe that Pruitt's and the team's performance this year hasn't caused some doubt to creep into these kid's minds...

I 100% think it has. Blowouts to Tamu and Florida will probably cause the ones that will to go.

2-5 record with a possible 2-8 final record with a HC sitting on a burning chair. Enough said.

Then start the same conjecture in every commitment’s thread, begin discussions on potential new strength coaches, and start a “Will Smokey be asked back in 2021?” thread. Yes, all of these are more likely now than in September but until something is said/happens, it’s just inventing a basis to torture ourselves.

Most of the high ranked recruits committed here because they were buying into Pruitt and staff and our upward trajectory. If we finish 2-8 or 3-7 I doubt they will believe it anymore. Expect all the top ranked commits to bolt between ESD or NSD. It is inevitable.

Maybe the recruits are more reasonable about the circumstances of this year than the “fans”

If I was a 4 or 5 star committed to UT and watch the implosion occurring and coaching uncertainty I would go somewhere else. Even if I was a lifelong Vol fan. Most recruits probably feel the same way.

This year is disappointing but it’s only an “implosion” to a group of very vocal posters. These recruits will help turn a disappointing year around as long as the all knowing “fans” don’t talk them into leaving.

He has to drill it into the ground and get you to agree with him, didn’t you know? He’s right because stamp my feet & roll on the ground crying to get my way! Waaahhhh! I’m a miserable person from miserable Abingdon. Wahhhhh!!

not sure what my deal is today, man. I woke up and read some more negative posts and I just snapped. I feel like if we can pull in one more solid class and have a real off season then things can get back on track. I dunno... whatever...

Hey I’m not completely writing off Pruitt and the Vols program yet. He has one last opportunity to turn it around. Start HB. If not everything I have posted is 99% guaranteed.

You can smdh all you want but if there is a post with their name as the heading I would bet they read it. What you say may or may not influence them to decommit but it definitely, for sure doesn’t help recruit them to come to UT.

I would say most argue a season that has seen multiple blowouts one by Kentucky, a loss to Arkansas with a first year head coach, a coach getting fired mid game, a 5th year QB who has given almost more TDs to opponents than his own team, the HC getting to remake his entire staff for a 3rd time, a team going from 8 game win streak to what’s likely to be a 7 game losing streak if not possibly 8 and a staff refusing to get a backup QB reps in the preseason would classify as an implosion.

While I don’t think Pruitt will see the end of next year, I do think he will have built the talent level of the roster enough that if Tennessee admin’s get their head out of their rectums and make even a good hire that Tennessee will be very competitive.
