I am betting Dee plays some in the backfield, some starts there and splits to H-back in the slot, some further out as x oe y... then may become our wildcat guy sometimes....

Whitehead will get a shot at RB because we promised him that is where he would start. Not rocket science. Will he move from there... who knows. i am ready to see him just like I have waited on Dee....

The room will get crowded with Gray, Small, Brown and Evans and Wright coming in and these two guys.... That is three normal sized backs and three larger backs. Could be the most talented room in total we have ever had... but none may push the best ever category.... once again time will tell.

None of this matters if Friend is the OL coach and Weinke is still coaching the qbs

I've heard one is definitely gone and the 2nd is still up for thought. I hope AD CPF and CJC force CJP to terminate both. Neither are an asset, and I hope there is a s/c eval too. We also need Boom, Davis, and Tosh type guys to help recruit DL talent. We're simply not elite on the DL in coaching nor scheme for the guys we have.

I hate comparisons between college freshmen and elite pros but I tend to agree with you on this one. I want to see him run between the tackles and see if he will run behind his shoulder pads. If he will do that then he can be special. Seeing his workout videos from the summer makes me think he's willing to put in the work to be great. Time will tell.

Why don't we hand him a ball a few times in normal game conditions and see what that produces. Very little value in doing the Karnak impressions, anyones.... He would be outside the regular mold, but so was his coach, and guys like Travis Henry and Jamal Lewis.... I love this kid but am not going predict greatness. Put all the talented guys you promised a shot on the field and let them work it out.

I wouldn't say that considering we run the ball about 75 to 80% of the time. I would personally use him as a RB, goal-line wildcat QB, and flex option receiver.

Agree. Love Jay as a coach. I like Neids too, but plenty people can recruit at a high level. Rocker was a great coach. Hopefully we can find that medium on next coaches, at all positions.
