'21 GA RB Cody Brown

Every time I get excited about this season, every time I think we will beat one of UF and uga and stay toe to toe with Bammer..........I think of #2 taking the field, dropping back, and overthrowing a short route/underthrowing a long route/firing a dump pass at 145mph/getting a receiver blasted by waiting a half second after the guy is open to actually throw the ball/failing to read a blitz............and my hope fades.

Please, oh please, can we find an SEC QB?? Pretty please??
Agree 100%. Freshman or not I’d give the keys to Bailey day 1. JG can be the backup.

In God, I trust. JG, that is another matter.
I want him to be good. I've never seen a kid who deserves success any more than he does. He's put up with crap that no one his age should have to endure from public humiliation to death threats. I really wish he could become a great QB... I have just seen enough to believe he has innate issues that won't allow it.

Those guys are scared now. If JT Daniels transfers here Fl/Ga fans gonna be peeing down their leg. Of course, Ga is used to that happening every time they get in a big game moment.
I watched some video and will watch more. He does a really nice job of getting the ball out on time.... but I didn't really see a scary strong arm.

Agree on all points. Seems like a really good kid, tough as nails. The death threats are absolutely ridiculous. And a grown man (who isn’t a coach recruiting him) tweeting at a college kid is pathetic.

That said.......JG just isn’t an SEC QB. I wish he was.

He's a winner man. Watching that game he had against Brown and Parkview, this kid just makes plays. Runs when he has to, takes contact, falls forward and picks up the first down. He even ran the Eagle's SB play and caught a pass and took a massive shot going into the end zone. Didn't matter. Held onto the ball, got up and celebrated.

This guy has IT. Behind our OL, with our running game and receivers with Chaney guiding him, there's no doubt in my mind that he can thrive.

I haven't been super impressed with him either, but most of what I have seen has been from his freshman year. He could be pretty good, but there's nothing of note other than a 5* ranking to think he could step in and take the offense to the next level. I'm still hoping that Bailey is everything we think he is, that JG can finally figure out how not to let everything get to him on the field to where he locks up mentally, and that Maurer starts to play smarter. Those are three guys that definitely have the physical tools to be successful. If they are where they need to be mentally, then the QB room is in great shape...but that's a big "if".

But you want as much top flight talent on your roster especially at QB, that you can get. Look what happened to Bama when Tua went down. Mac Jones was not what you’d call electrifying. 🤷‍♂️

I understand that, and I never said that they didn't need to take him. I just think some folks are hyping him up with very little evidence to show he's going to be that type of game changer. Maybe he is...so it's certainly worth bringing him in. I could just as easily see Bailey, JG, or Maurer beating him out.

Valid point!

How is Coach Z connected to Brown and how confident are we in a commit from him today? I want this guy on the roster. Straight building a goon squad.
