While I've seen nothing conclusive, the VQ guys implied that we were on him last Thursday, prior to his entrance into the portal.

We were a finalist for him the first time around, and the Chief Gump wanted him to play defensive back. So, I would say there is a shot, but as you know, that could be nothing.

Help with the first part, but not likely the second part. Gibbs is probably a one-year solution, and two years, at best. Not sure Heup can turn things around that quickly, though a player like Gibbs certainly helps in that effort.

Mad props to the guys in our RB room right now for laying it on the line all year, but Gibbs would be our best RB on day 1. Not saying they give him RB1 on the first day, but talent wise there is no comparison.

Not getting my hopes up until I see it as he will have everyone coming but we have one of the best fits available from scheme and distance. I get Bama love but he isn’t really the Bama type of RB they usually have. We have the prime setup waiting on him to slide in as returner and lead back

Plus, if the rumors ARE true that he wanted to be here first go round...I try to NEVER assume in recruiting, but...
