I like Small, but he is injured frequently. Wright showed promise, but I’m still not sold he can be RB1 either. Unless either Small or Wright were to make a Grant Williams-esque Year 1 to Year 2 leap, I think there is a strong chance Williams with his size and athleticism could be RB1.

I’m not saying it’s a certainty, but just it wouldn’t be a shock. Unless we land a stud RB in the portal, I wouldn’t be surprised if he supplanted Small and Wright. It’s not like we’re returning a Tank Bigsby or Najee Harris at RB1.

I want to see what Wright can do when he adds a little weight…specifically lower body weight that helps him hold up in pass protection…if he does that and keeps his speed I think he’ll be a huge part of the O next year…

I think he, Small and Williams can make up an explosive backfield for sure and I agree Williams is the most likely of them all to be a true RB1

Small has been really good here in spite of having a banged up shoulder plus he gives his all for Tennessee and wright will probably be a name that will be mentioned a lot in the future. I like the backs we are possibly getting but also like what we have already. Next to a leg injury a shoulder issue is probably one of the worst injuries a running back can have.
