Because if you don't take it, someone else will. Butch Jones knew good and well that this wasn't going to stick. It was still nice to have him associated with Tennessee as a big-time player. I think our staff has this recruiting thing pretty well figured out. Leave it to the professionals.

I remember there was a lot of hype over this kid when he committed to us briefly a year and a half ago... but just now noticed he's rated as a 74 on 247, which would be about a two star.

He had an amazing offer list. I wonder what the story is. Injuries, not developing, etc....
