I agree. Similar measurables coming out of high school too. Saquon didnt get huge until he got to PSU and worked hard. Think we just got a really nice steak out of GA
I saw somewhere where someone called him an "enforcer" on defense, and that has me excited. He could move down to LB even possibly. Don't expect this kid to be All-SEC necessarily, but I like his attitude and skills.
Even though he was a little skinny during his junior year at Heard County, Beasley laid out some big hits as a free safety. He has good vision and tracks ball carriers well. He even uses that vision and awareness well on passing downs and is a good free ranging safety. Hes an enforcer on defense. Beasley has solid speed and instincts, and he was a great running back for Heard County too. But his ceiling is definitely the highest on defense, and if he continues to add weight he may even be able to move down to linebacker eventually.
Beasley is listed at 6-foot, 220 pounds, but hes put on more weight after the season and may even be closer to 230 pounds now. Combine his hard-hitting nature with his athleticism and awareness, and its a wonder hes not already rate higher than he is. As a running back, he ran for over 1,200 yards for Heard County last year and intercepted a few passes on defense too.
I'm a HUGE fan of this pickup. This kid is a big time hitter whether on D or O. He plays downhill and thumps ya. I'd kind of like to see him at RB with his 225lb frame. But LB might be his best future. Either way...BOOOOOOM!!!!
