'19 GA S Jalyn Phillips (Clemson Commit)

I know it's a UT board, I have said many times Pruitt is an excellent coach, at the time I was hoping Kirby would have kept him for our DC and DB coach, but that didn't happen.

As for why we are disrespectful, mostly because UT fans feel they can come into Georgia and sign whoever they want, which was the case 20 years ago, not today. UGA lost 1 instate kid they wanted in 18, Lawrence who went to Clemson, but got the number 2 guy in the country, was going to miss on one of them regardless. The other 2 we didn't recruit, Johnson who came to UT and Vann who went to USC. Our roster is full of guys like Vann, wanted and Johnson wasn't high on the board, we signed 4 instate kids and 1 out of state kid who were higher on our board, flipping one from Bama and one from Michigan, who was really the best defensive player in the state in the 18 class.

Why does it bother you that UT fans are being confident on a UT site? If we had years of Dooley and butch, we’d probably feel optimistic about Pruitt too. You seem like you’re trying really hard to convince UT fans that UGA is great, which is a weird thing to do on a vols recruiting board.

Hey look here...a rival poster finally gets it about this being a Board for Vol fans!

I think it is exciting that he has concerns over our program. We will get our share of players in Georgia and elsewhere. I can understand his angst.

Of course UT fans are going to be excited. Y’all got rid of a coach who had the worst season in UT history for an upcoming coach who is an elite recruiter in the necessary areas to be successful in the SEC. any fan would be excited for that happening at their school which is why I thought it was weird for a rival poster coming to say otherwise. As for UGA’s success on the recruiting trail last season, it’s pretty obvious the stars aligned perfectly for us. How often will your school have its best season in 30+ years while also having both of your conference rivals go through late season coaching changes? Both Pruitt and Mullin will have more time to recruit this year and that will directly impact recruiting in the state of Georgia this year.

Really? He was hired a week before their signing day and gone a month before the rising jr signed, he was there for 1 full cycle, our sr class, by far the weakest class on the roster now, there will be 5 sr starters this fall. a CB, an OLB a DE, C and a WR.

You suck

I am pretty sure when we start dominating on the field and on the trail again I am going to start trolling the other teams' forums.

Nope, comparing how Pruitt recruited at UGA to what Kirby was dong at Bama. But if you want to compare Kirby's first year under the same circumstances he finished with a top 10 class, his first full class was number 3 and his second was number 1. UGA's roster is young, but is deeper than it has ever been. 18 is the year to beat UGA, otherwise it will be a long dry spell.

Kirbys first class was taking over Richt/Pruitt work. Pruitt lined up those kids. Pruitt took over for a staff that quit recruiting after we lost to your team.

A reasonable and respectful UGA poster?

You should just get on FB and tag ChiefVol and Catbone and all of you could chortle together.

— Four-star safety Jalyn Phillips, a teammate of Booth, returned to Tennessee on Saturday for the second time in a little more than a month and again came away impressed. He said the Vols, Alabama and Oklahoma are the three teams standing out to him, and he plans to make another trip to Knoxville for one of Tennessee’s spring practices. The Vols will continue to face plenty of competition for Phillips, who claims more than 50 offers and has added offers from USC and Florida State this month. But Tennessee quickly has put itself in position to be a legitimate contender for him.
