There could be. I believe Mizzou's enrollment is and has been several thousand more than UT's. They have large engineering, agri-business, medical. and law schools.
I used to work for a company whose owner was chair of their board of regents. There's no doubt in my mind that he would throw some cash that way.
That's true but somewhat unassociated from their big donors. Big boosters made the SEC thing happen for them. They also pushed the stadium expansion through.
