'21 GA TE Miles Campbell (Tennessee signee)

Baby gronk, imo. Needs the S&C program and some practice reps and he could be a weapon
That’s what I saw. When he gets SEC strength shift him out on a S or CB and just let him muscle the poor guy into the end zone. But that’s something Wolfe could do as well. Campbell’s the one I see being the Walker-type stretch-the-field type 30 to 30 and you get one of them big guys near the end zone.

Am I having fun right now? Yes. So much fun!

Ramey thinks TN is in the driver’s seat over FSU, Auburn, and Meatchicken for Campbell, then in the response section someone posted a Rusty link on Dawg Turd chat. Rusty really likes Campbell, but you have to read thru all the posts from their idiot fans that none of TN’s commits had UGA offers. I didn’t know Kirby refused to accept commitments from all these guys.

Neither did Kirby. 😏

I actually think Bell has more potential and looks better at DE after going back and looking at his Hudl. A redshirt year and weight room and he’d be a good one imo with his athletic ability, size and quickness
Well this is the beauty of different opinions I suppose. I don’t think he has the bend or flexibility like a DE should. But, I also am a random internet dude. So, 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I think Bell, although a great athlete for his size, is strictly a TE. He definitely doesn’t move like an SEC DE.

Agreed. He has tools and athleticism but I just don’t see the physical nature to play DL in this league either.

Do we really want 2 or 3 tight ends though? After the 3 this weekend and the iSmooth's mystery man, we would have 3-4 spots left depending on who you ask. I guess give me Bell and Campbell, but we'll need to start sending some guys packing. We still need room for Mims, Mondon, LJ Johnson, Terrion Arnold or any of the other elite players we're in on that could take it all the way to NSD.

i think they'd take 2 for sure. 3 does seem to be a bit of a stretch, but there's a theory out there saying bell, cambel and wolfe would all be takes..

as for hte spots available...i wouldn't worry about it too terribly much.

i think we'll see a fair amount of movement in this class over the next couple of months, and maybe even up to signing day.....and they have a couple guys they could blueshirt if they wanted to.....?

We will take all 3 if we can. Bell could end up as a DE with his size and athletic ability
Am seeing that Alot in this class. Dont really know where they will all end up. Pennington can be OL or DT. Colby Smith DE or OT. Several others also the DB could be RB. RB could be LB. TE could be DE. It's like we are building a swiss army knife.

I think no matter what you take two. You lose Austin Pope this year and you’re not really sure about what you have with Lowe & Brown yet, so it’s almost a necessity that you take two if not all three if you can get them. I’d get Bell and Campbell in the boat ASAP. Or Bell and Wolfe

If it comes down to taking a 3rd TE the staff feels is a difference maker over a 4th OL that may be a bit of a project, I think the choice is easy.

Think about this: Pope is our #1 TE this year. Who is #2? Who is #1 when he’s gone after this year? I’m not sure about the caliber of any of the TE we currently have on the roster, they are definitely unproven. The ability to go 2 TE sets is a weapon, and we crushed Vandy with it this past year. Not to mention how important it is for red zone offense.

Do not watch as much tape I as use to, because I am asked for my suggestions and I turn into the Ranking Committee on specific players . (LET ME BE CLEAR, I am 1000% cool with that and I think our guys do a great job.)
But this morning I dug into some tape on two players (Tight Ends) and man I think both are sure fire legit players whatever they are ranked.
I brought you this name back last August after watching Smael Mondon play a scrimmage game at South Paulding. Miles Campbell continues to grow and he is pushing almost 6-4 now with 220 pound frame. He caught 68 passes last year and we have a verified time of sub 4.65 on him recently from a source. LOVE HIS TAPE..
Then of course he has the ranking but man all of his tape pops and through in verified size
He gained 20 lbs in one post.

Take who they want. Prob get to like 30+ then let the fat trim itself over the fall.

Wouldn't sleep on Brown or Lowe just yet. Only FR last year and I believe one or both redshirted. Also have Fant and Warren.

Not necessarily sleeping on those dudes, and I hope some of them step up. But none of the ones you mentioned have shown anything significant to date, and Fant has been here for a while. Also think there is a reason Pruitt and co. seem to be pursuing TE so hard this cycle.

They should quit moving Fant around. I think he can be a nice target at TE. It would just be nice if a TE would step up and catch the ball though.

4-5 of the kids who committed early on will not be in this class. We will make room for talent.
