We were never an option for him with the offense we were running. If Dickey had been coach...🤔

Been numerous articles over the years. We ran a variation of the single wing. Spurrier had some wheels to go with his arm. He was heavily recruited but wouldn’t sign on with that offense.

FRISCO, Texas - Marietta (Ga.) High Top247 defensive end BJ Ojulari was one of the standouts at this year’s The Opening Finals earning a spot on the 247Sports Dream Team.
“This week we saw a new version of Ojulari,” 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons wrote. “We knew how athletic he was and he certainly showcased that with a 4.86 40 and a 41 inch vertical, but he wasn’t just a speed rusher. He showed instincts, the ability to counter and the ability to win with inside moves. If his week at The Opening represents an evolution for Ojulari that is reflected on his senior film too, his low four-star rating could creep up dramatically.”
The 247Sports Composite currently ranks the 6-foot-2 1/2, 222-pound Ojulari as the nation’s No. 10 weak-side defensive end and No. 193 prospect overall. The battle within his recruitment can be found in conference.

“Right now I’m looking at the SEC, mostly around LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee around there, not trying to go too far though. Just a place I have a good relationship with the coaching staff.”
Back in the fall, Ojulari attended several Tennessee games. In the spring he got a chance to see Auburn, Alabama and Florida and was recently at LSU. The only official Ojulari has scheduled to date is back to Tuscaloosa in September when the Crimson Tide hosts Ole Miss.
Ojulari talked about each program.
Alabama: “Just their tradition. Nick Saban is always going to want to win and that’s something great to be part of. I just FaceTimed with Nick Saban, Coach Sal and I was up there talking to Kevin Harris, stuff like that.”

Auburn: “I like Coach Garner and I have a friend there Rich (Jibunor), he was a 2018. He’s a good mentor. And Coach Crime (Wesley McGriff) he’s always fired up. The way they play, their down, get a lot or rushes and Coach Garner has put a lot of people in the league.”
Florida: “Coach (Christian) Robinson he’s always in contact with me. One of my good teammates Rashad (Torrence II) is committed there so it’s going to be like family and I like their facilities and stuff like that.
LSU: “One of the big things one of the outside linebacker coaches is Coach (Ed) O(rgeron). That’s plays a big part. They got Coach (Kenechi Udeze) pass rush specialist and that’s what I do pass rush. They’re really going to develop me and get me to the next level.”
Tennessee: “I like their coaching staff too. A lot of their coaches were recruiting me at other schools and they just came together at Tennessee so I like that. And my teammates Ramel (Keyton) and Harrison (Bailey) committed there. They just kept telling me to come back. Harrison would drive me down there. Ramel texting me, the coaching staff trying to get me there as much as possible. I definitely think the program is going up and they’re definitely building something.”

Ojulari’s brother is on the roster at Georgia. The younger Ojulari mentioned there is a lot of people at outside linebacker regarding the Bulldogs program.
“We’ll see how it plays out and if any people leave,” he said adding he has a strong connection with Coach Dan Lanning and Dell McGee.

He will be that pass-rushing OLB. He’s gotta see his path to the next level is 3-4 defense. Gotta know what Pruitt and Co. have done in the past.

I wonder where he is on the list.

Don’t think we can take 4 LB numbers-wise. Already running outta spots considering 2-3 more OL, 3 more WR, 5-6 DL, a TE, another RB, DB, QB.

I keep forgetting his brother plays at UGA. So not only does it makes sense for him to wait on an offer from them because they're in-state and a quality program (ugh), but there's that, too.

I still really hope we get this kid.

We're doing ok on stud younger brothers of UGA players.

Hope the trend continues here.

But I’m pretty sure Pruitt doesn’t like it when his team’s mass is being thrown all over the field. I’m just saying that Fitz would probably do wonders for this kid.

His defenses at Georgia and bama had most of their linebackers in the 235 to 240 range. His rush ends ranged from about 240 to 260. He's much more about speed and versatility than what most remember about bama linebackers from 10 years ago. Not to say he doesn't want bigger guys, especially bigger than what butch wanted, but as a defensive coordinator he actually converted bama to a slightly smaller faster defense.
