'20 GA WDE BJ Ojulari (LSU commit)

Are we recruiting him as a DE or LB, or is that the same in a 3-4?
it's not the same....but...it kinda is because of how we'll flex in and out of 4-3 and 4-2-5 and a 3-4.

when we go straight 3 men down...he's an OLB.

when we move to a 4-3 or 425, he's DE.

it's all situationally driven....i just call him, and guys of is ilk, Pass rushers, and be done with it.

lol.

Pass Rusher works for me.

I like what they've done in the NFL draft and just start calling them all Edge Rushers regardless of what they played in college.

yep. everybody seems to do multiple things with their fronts these days. the need for more speed in the front 7 has dictated that.

be stout as hell up the middle of the defense, and have some speed around it. RB's and TE's these days....you have to be able to cover....it's like when we started seeing Julius Peppers dropping in coverage from a 43 DE spot. it was pretty weired to see him get down in a stance, and then stand up and back up to cover a TE or RB.

and he could do it too...........and that was 10+ years ago during his 1st stint with the panthers. (not saying he changed it, just that it's been evolving for longer than the past couple years).
