Anybody got info on the two teams he's focused on?
Us and A&M
On Aggies
Gatling was at Texas A&M last weekend. The Aggies are one of the two programs still in Gatling’s mind. They were the first to offer the four-star.
Gatling and Texas A&M have a long-standing relationship.
“They’ve been keeping up with me since I was in the ninth grade,” Gatling said. “They were my first offer. I’ve had a good relationship with those guys over there for a minute. They had a losing season this season but they came out with a good win to end the season and that was good to see. They got a lot of young dudes on the squad.”
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Aggies in second place behind Alabama in pursuit of the four-star.
On Us
As a wide receiver, there is an obvious attraction to Tennessee for Gatling. It runs a little deeper than that for Gatling. He visited before the season and was really impressed with the atmosphere he walked into in Knoxville.
“They’ve always treated me well,” Gatling said. “Coach
(Kelsey) Pope, coach (
Alex) Golesh, coach (
Jerry) Mack and coach (
Josh) Heupel are always texting and calling me to check up on me. That’s really one of the relationships things I’m taking into consideration when making my decision. I’ve got a good relationship with all those guys over there.”
Gatling was in Knoxville for Tennessee’s win over Alabama back on Oct. 15. The atmosphere is one he’ll remember for a while.
“That atmosphere was crazy,” Gatling said. “That was probably one of the loudest games I’ve been to. The fans were crazy. They were always into the game and stuff.”
My read - Sounds like A&M
