UNC commit, Joshua Downs just spoke to Pruitt on the phone Monday morning. The Vols offered and Downs said he will likely give UT a look. He said he likes the staff in Knoxville.

He is from North Gwinnett, the same school as Warren Burrell. He also plays on the 7v7 team that QB Harrison Bailey play on.

He is related to Dre Bly, the DB coach at UNC, so that was a big factor into his decision. He is a true slot guy too, so he likes what Phil Longo plans to do offensively there.

His father is Gary Downs, a former RB at NC State.

It was thought he was States to lose.. rumors going around this past fall that he was transferring out to Marietta. 63 catches for 1100 yards and 9 tds as a sophormore. Jr year they became more of a running team with 3 Sr oline and a first year qb. Very quick in and out of breaks.
