They probably are, but USCw mods are a little delusional and uninformed. They still think they are the choice so I'm not going to take what they say with a grain of salt. Clemsons mods can be delusional too so the fact they have said that they aren't getting him leads me to believe there was some intel they received that suggested this

Even though he hasn't gotten to focus on just one position yet, he's is extremely sound technically. He reminds me of a faster Jaxson Smith-Njigba. I wish I had a better UT comparison, but the best I can do is a Peerless Price/Cedric Wilson combo. I think this kid is that special with his natural gifts and work ethic. He's very mature and all business right now.

Atlanta area wide receiver Mike Matthews is seeing the earth get bigger in the window in his recruitment. While some may make it to August before a decision, we don’t believe that will be the case for him. Tennessee has been the one consistent team you hear attached to him and we don’t see that changing as they continue to have really good traction with him.
