"I visited Tennessee for the first time in the spring and coach Martin really made us fee at home, he made me feel like part of the team and I had a good time. I have really gotten to know coach Martin, coach Pruitt and the communication has been great. I just like it up there a lot.
Ze'Vian Capers
has been committed to Arkansas for almost four months, but he is far from done with his recruitment.
The soon-to-be Rivals250 wide receiver out of Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark is still in communication with numerous schools and along with another visit to Fayetteville, he has some big summer trips planned.
"This summer, I am planning to take my official visit to Tennessee June 14, then I am taking unofficial visits to Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Floridaand Arkansas," said Capers. "There could be another visit or two in there, but that is what I know right now.

"I took my official visit to South Carolina in the spring and it went really well. I have strong relationships with coach McClendon and coach Muschamp, so I will be back. They want big receivers like me and they feel I can contribute my freshman year and do big things for them.
"I am ready to get back down to Florida. This will be my second visit there and the history coach Gonzales has with receivers and coach Mullen has with his offenses. I think Florida is on the come up after a 10-3 season last year and I just want to take another visit to see more this time.
"Georgia Tech is a school close to home and they have a lot of energy there now. I like the new coaches, the changes they have made and they have really been recruiting me hard. It is easy to visit them, so I think I will be there again soon.
"I am always in contact with coach Stepp. I am still 100% committed to Arkansas, but like always, I am keeping my options open and taking visits. I plan to go back there this summer to hang out some more and have a good time. I think it will be for my official visits."
Auburn recently offered and they are working on Capers trying to get him in for a visit this summer as well. North Carolina and West Virginia are two others in pursuit. Capers is still on the Arkansas commitment list, but he seems to be giving others a fair shot to flip him. His relationship with coach Stepp is what keeps him with the Razorbacks at this time. Could visits this summer change things? It is something we will be watching closely.
Capers visited Tennessee for the first time in early April, less than two weeks after the Vols extended a scholarship offer to him, and he said they have made him a high priority since then. He said he’s hearing from them “every single day,” led by first-year wide receivers coach Tee Martin.
With Tennessee expecting to need plenty of help at wide receiver next season, Capers said the Vols have told him that he could compete for a major role in their offense as a true freshman.
“They just need big-bodied receivers that can do it all,” he said. “They talked about their receiver situation, how they’re losing four senior receivers, so they’re saying that I can come in and have a possibility of competing for a starting job.
“That’s the thing that’s most appealing (about them).”
Capers said he hears from Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt about “twice a week,” and he also has stayed in contact with Vols quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke while building a close relationship with Martin, a former Tennessee quarterback who returned to Knoxville in January.
“Right now, I have a good relationship with Tee Martin,” Capers said. “He’s a great coach. He’s a former player at Tennessee, and he won a national championship at Tennessee, so he knows what it takes. He knows the hard work and dedication that you have to put in, and we just kind of click on that type of level. He’s just a coach I can always be around.”
After Capers’ first visit to Tennessee, which allowed him to attend one of the Vols’ spring scrimmages, he said he came away impressed by the “good, family atmosphere” there.
He said he’s returning to Knoxville next weekend to “just mainly get a feel for how they run their program and just see how Coach Martin coaches.”
“From my experience, when I was up there and I went in the film room, he can be a little funny at times. But you can tell, once you step on that field, he means business,” Capers said of Martin.
“My family and I kind of enjoyed the visit (in April) very well, and they’re looking forward to getting back up there.”
Capers recently discussed the possibility of taking an official visit to Tennessee next weekend. But he said he and his family ultimately decided they wanted “to save my Tennessee official visit ’til later.”
He said he currently expects the Vols to get one of his official visits, “probably, like, later in the year.”
Recruiting guy. He kept trying to hype up Vol fans about them being able to flip Eboigbe from Bama, and I know he was trying to hype up UT fans about another highly-rated kid too that they didn't end up with. Just really annoyed me. Seemed like he literally was only doing it for the attention and to get RTs and follows. Like a recruit lolWho is Junior Baker?
To be fair he usually bring Atlanta area kids up for visits. I remember he brought Ramel and Beasley up last summer. We need a couple more guys like him.Recruiting guy.
