I'm pretty deep in the Apple eco-system so I'm probably waiting for the next iphone to see if they go bigger (indications are that the will). If not, I'll move to an Android product with more screen. Old age is hell on the eyes!

Hate to change because iphone is so simple to use, but I agree. I will make that switch this time around if iphone 6 is still a lot "smaller.

Get yourself some of those no line bifocals and a magnifying glass. You will be fine with that little iphone....:)

I have already passed that point and switched to Android.. I actually like the platform better than the iphone

Is the Note something that could be reasonably carried as a primary phone? I love the screen real estate

I would say you can. A friend that works for USCC let me try one for a few weeks.

It takes a couple weeks to get used to it, but once you do you're almost hooked on having a screen that big (and I'm one of the cavemen that still likes a stylus, so that's a big plus for me).

Its really easy if you're moving up from a GS3 or 4 or similar. Probably a little more difficult if you switch from something like an iPhone.

Honestly, waiting to see some of the rumored specs for the next Note is what's kept me from pre-ordering the GS5. I really loved carrying it.

I really liked my Note 2. Had it for 16-18 months now. Longest I've had a smartphone and I never really felt I was behind. Still works like a champ.

The size is a little big. I don't mind it 95% of the time, but it's a little bigger than your average cellphone.

I'm going with the S5 this time. I'll have one in the next couple weeks. I want something a hair smaller. And with the screen being 5.1" that is big enough for me. Went back and forth with the new HTC One M8, but at the end of the day, I just don't care for Sense or the slick back.

Just FYI: The Nexus 5 is a great phone but the biggest knock it gets is for the camera. It's just not as good as some others.

HTC M8 and S5 are probably the best cameras. Just do a search for camera shootouts. Some good sites will have have detailed comparisons. Nothing is perfect.

I just bought a Nexus 5 this morning after finally destroying the screen on my S3 last night. I haven't used the camera yet, but I like the rest of the phone so far. It feels nicer in my hands than the S3. I will order a replacement screen for my S3 tonight so I can have a backup phone.

I've been very tempted to buy one myself. I could easily use it for a long time. Hope you enjoy it.

Are those better than the 5S camera? I always thought the iPhone cameras were at the top if the charts.

It can be easily carried as a primary phone but it's not easily operated with one hand unless you have large hands.

Agree with the post. Sometimes I feel the note is too big but other times I really enjoy the extra screen real estate.

Also, Google Now and the voice recognition of Android is a lot better than Siri. Would you agree?

I've almost pulled the trigger several times. Which color did you get?

I still have the original Galaxy Nexus which I use on wifi around the house.

I think of it as similar in size to a scientific calculator. Not quite as tall, but similar in bulk (assuming you'd put it in a protective case). For me, I need a phone I can carry while working, either on a belt clip/holster or in my pocket. The Note certainly wouldn't go in my pocket, and while there are belt clip/holsters designed for the Note, it's pretty bulky, so that's why I decided on the S5.

The black one. I just think white phones are for people that wish they had iphones. I had the blue S3. I have been impressed with the Nexus so far.

Had. Because two kids stole my broke ass phone out of my bag that was attached to my bike. I came out of the shopping mall and caught them rummaging through my bag. One had the empty box for my Nexus in his hands. They actually asked me for bus fare, and I asked him for my box back. He handed it to me, I went to search the rest of my bags and they took off.

I was pissed because the phone was an easy $25 repair for myself. I filed a police report, but highly doubt I'll see the phone again. At least the little jerks won't be able to activate it or pawn it if they somehow get the screen fixed.

I looked at the Note 3 but my god is it big.

Nokia Lumia series has hands down the best camera of any phone, but it's not worth putting up with Windows Mobile OS. After that, I'd put LG, Samsung and Apple with roughly equivalent cameras.

I still haven't tried one of those phones. But, I've heard great things about those nokia cameras.

Windows OS isn't that bad, it's just a tiny market compared to iOS and Android. But yeah, no way I'm switching to a Windows phone.

Nokia is dabbling in Android now. Would be nice to see a flagship phone from them with their cameras.

Looks like I may actually get an S5 today. That would be sweet.

All signs are pointing to 4.7" AND a 5.5" with the same aspect ratio of the iphone 5.

I kind of want a bigger screen but I like the one hand ease of the 3.5" screen. Even the 4" iphone 5/5S isnt as easy with one hand. Maybe I have small hands.

Anyway, i think Apple is listening to consumers about screen size. Chances of the rumors being wrong are very slim.

Is it bigger than the s4? I haven't looked at the specs very closely.

It's a 5.1 inch screen, so a hair bigger.

I don't have an S4 here at the moment. I'll compare it to the wife's tonight.

So far no complaints. Phone seems solid so far. But, need a few weeks to gauge real world usage.

After having the note 2 for so long, this feels so much lighter in my pocket. Almost don't notice it. Using the same type/brand case I had with my note. I was wanting something just a bit smaller and this seems perfect.

Do you recall how much screen time your note 2 got on a full charge?
