That is an excellent point. We handled it well and played disciplined, smart basketball.

I'm just glad we took care of a team the way we were supposed to. I thought after playing two tough games in a row that we could let down and let Chaminade hang around, but we put our foot on their throat. That tells me that this team hopefully won't have any awful showings like I thought they would this year because of the roster liimitations.

I'd say I'm much more optimistic about us being competitive after this tournament than I was before the tournament. We may not get more wins, but a sure W against UT is not going to happen and Martin is going to make damn sure his guys are ready.

Michigan you mean?

I feel like our schedule gives us a good shot at getting some big wins to HELP us get in the tourney not Hurt us like everyone keeps saying.

We get one or two upsets and win the games we are supposed to and we get in IMO since we will have such a great SOS.

Per the OP's list, I think you can throw in another good showing on the defensive side of the ball for both effort and execution.

-this team looks upset when they make a mistake, but confident and hustling 3 seconds later.
-I like the respect you see on everyone's face when coach Martin is talking.
-I have yet to see a mistake on defense that looked like it was caused by lack of effort.

Wish I saw less shooting from McRae and a whole lot more passing and defense. He becomes a liability when he is looking for the ball to score instead of just running the offense. Trae needs to focus on running the offense as well and take his shot when it comes its open.

I'm rolling in early to catch the niners game on Sunday. Should be a great trip. Looking forward to seeing Alcatraz.
