I think instead of playing with the subs they need to get about four or five minute stints with the core group. I mean Kaiya could do this as a sub for Dye and Striplin could sub in for Greene or even Key for four or five minutes. I think you learn your role faster and get better quicker when playing with the main starters. Four starters and Wynn or four starters and Striplin is not going to affect the game to much. No way they are going to do that much damage. Actually Wynn has scored 13 points and 8 rebounds in 42 minutes of play. I think the six turnovers in 42 minutes is her biggest negative. 4 for 11 from the field thus far. Verhulst number 12 player for Louisville is 4 for 15 in her freshman career thus far playing a lot more minutes. Striplin 6 points and 6 rebounds in 21 minutes is acceptable as well. Hopefully they get in more Wednesday and the home games coming up after Va. Tech.Striplin and Kaiya I feel just needs more minutes to settle down and figure out their role but they are good players
People complaining and harboring on Jordan's turnovers i didn't realize this... I believe Jordan wants her turnovers to go down more than anyone but DANG that's great sign to how she is impacting games!
Great insight by Coach Harper about Karoline learning to play against bigger players. This was something she didn't have to do much in high school or even in this game. She can make free throws would love to see her get to the line almost an automatic two. She is a post player that can flourish at the free throw line. Karoline matches any player on the team including Rae at the line. When she learns how to draw fouls with attempting shots inside she will be a huge scorer for us. It will be next year before we see most of that happen, but she is going to be an excellent player for us inside in the future and maybe later this season.
