Griggs is their three point shooter she has made 7 of 11. The rest of the team has made 4 of 33 so common sense is let anyone shoot it but her. We need to guard her close tonight.

LAST UT-UM GAME
  • Gwen Jackson led four in double figures with 18 points, as UT cruised, 92-66, over the Tigers at the Pyramid in Memphis on Dec. 29, 2001.
  • UT shot 51.6 percent and forced 24 UM turnovers.
You never hear anything about the wonderful Gwen Jackson so it has been wonderful to see this on top of Diana Taurasi's shout-out about Gwen's defense. I am adding to this in an effort for this to become Gwen Jackson appreciation month. She was one of my faves, and was so touched when she played so well in the NCAAs while dealing with the death of a beloved family member (GM that raised her?). Touche, Gwen!

Maria Cornelius just tweeted the same basic message, with a promise to update when more info is known.

I am betting illness...

If we can’t beat Memphis without her, there’s no point in having much hope for this team.

If the next 2 games are not close, we will probably see everyone playing, including the 3 at the end of the bench, Edie, Strickland, and Wynn. So, for the next 10 days, we’ll see posters pick one or more of those players, and say they they should get more minutes.

Key is typically at the end of the bench…hope she get some of that time you speak of. Maybe more

Kea has a lower leg injury but she’s on the bench with a boot/brace hope she gets better

but they don’t need to take this game lightly let’s get this W!!!
