Game Thread: (#15/12) Lady Vols 59 - Southern Illinois 49

Is Emily Saunders a complete bust? She never plays except mom up minutes.

Even slower and more deliberate than Key. But she can hit her shots and you can't move her in the post. Probably have to adjust the offense a bit for her. But we aren't feeding it to the posts anyway. Very few entry passes thrown to them tonight.

Let's see how the team responds at the half. It is not unusual to struggle early in the season like this.

This is the first taste of adversity at this level for a lot of these players so we should learn a lot.

This is the difference between Kellie playing with her talent vs Kellie playing the talent Holly recruited. Horston is out. Key is in foul trouble. And Rae is down.

Kellie's recruits are going to have to rally together now and show us what the future looks like.

That isn't fair. Kellie's recruits are sophomores (one of whom is injured and out for the season) and freshmen. Holly's recruits are the juniors and seniors. Almost every team relies on it's unpper classmen. What we are seeing tonight has nothing to do with Kellie's recruiting. We are not getting good performances from our upper classmen.

A lot of posters taking great joy in Burell being injured, and our girls having a rough outing so far...

I think it`s more of mid major talent as is Darby

I wonder if Kellie will to a match up zone in the 3rd. We’re a little step slow on the man to man. Two players are taking the handoff leaving the screener open for 3.
