Because we have to scrape for every crumb of goodness in this uglyfest, I agree that last play was of epic importance. However the screen happened, and I want to think the brilliant frosh Puckett did it on purpose, great control and great decision by JH. AND she made the layup.Great screen! Beautiful ball to end the half. Control from Horston not being hasty when the two defenders went down. Nice momentum play!

Good momentum indeed.
So this is the epitimy of "find a way" plus tough (mostly) defense. Offense looks worse to me, spacing bad, passing off, overdribbling, shades of the last few seasons. But someone has found a way to score just often enough to do the job. Key in spurts, JH at times, even Walker for once. Can't count on any consistently but as long as someone gets it done for short shifts I guess we'll get by. Sure would like to see Dye join the fun.
ESPN said it was 28-27 Texas at the half. It was 29-28 Tennessee at the half but they didn’t score Houston’s layup at the end of the period - even though they just watched it happen.
We did get our fg shooting up to 41% but we missed a ton early and committed many careless turnovers. Did look better later in the half. Most important stat is they shot just 29%Hasn’t been that ugly for us aside from a few offensive rebounds and turnovers. The turns were near ever thought. We shot the ball well for a change and played under control. We aren’t going to be an 80ppg team this season. Not until/if we have a healthy Burrell.
Heh, so let's get this straight - our game's halftime show tells us that USF was ahead of UConn 45-42 in the third, UConn pulls it out at the end, 60-53, and the lady announcing this game said "But UConn rolls, 60-53." I had no idea winning by seven in the fourth quarter constituted a team "rolling" but you know how ESPN about their local team.
