There was an interesting YouTube podcast a few weeks ago, "who will be at Tennessee longer, Rick Barnes or Kelly Harper." They all said Harper bc as long as she's making the tournament and getting to the sweet 16 every 3 or 4 years, TN won't ever make a change.

Indiana is a terrible team so what does it say about us? I think they lose big in the Big Ten this season. I see our team getting no where without Jackson. She makes all these other players better because there has to be so much concentration on her. Game has come down to Six threes made for them and two for us. We have to win the third quarter and win it big or this is a loss.

We are exceptionally slow in the front court without RJ. Even Hollingshead, who you would think could dominate in this game, is MIA. Puckett and Striplin are afraid to close out on the 3 point shot because they're so easy to drive around.

We had no post game at all in that half. Hollingshead couldn't even get in the paint half the time, and I don't want to know the percentage Puckett and Striplin hit. I only remember one shot going in between them.

I thought Hollingshead was working, but the guards didn't or couldn't see her.

Seeing this team in person, whoever has been saying we are SLOW, is absolutely correct. These girls are dribble driving us to death, and we can’t get past them at all! If you notice, the fastest player we have, is playing the best right now (Powell)

Not a new issue either. We’ve been slower and less athletic than most teams…that’s why we struggle with faster athletic teams.

I don’t care if anyone is watching it in person or on tv… this ain’t got crap to do with a team being slow.
Indiana is the less athletic team that Tennessee has played all year.
Matter of fact, in the first quarter TN held them to 12 points because they were disrupting them with ball pressure and forcing tuneovers. The game changed because TN is just taking shots from deep.. not getting anything around the basket.
Darby misses wide open shots and gets on defense sagging over her man who calming nails three after three in her face.

Whoever talking about speed is talking just to hear their own voice.
Indiana is playing in slow motion.

You are delusional if you think Darby, Striplin and Puckett are fast or quick.

3 assist for a half of basketball is just not acceptable. I know this team practices, but it sure isn't an offense full of plays to run. Dribble around the 3 point line, pass back and forth until 6 seconds left on the shot clock and either shoot a 3 or a prayer driving to the basket while praying for a rebound or put back. It's 2023, in today's game an offense has to be run to be elite(outside of LSU)

Indiana is not a great team. But you knew it was just a matter of time before they started hitting their shots. I'm hoping for the same from the LV's, but I'm not confident.
